Post SS?

So I'm to assume that everyone think the SS TB02 is the way to go for Nats?

I'm more interested in who is running the TA04 or the TB02 with the black cans?

Any lap times taken yet...

TAOB will be at TA this Sat to do some testing with the two... Hopefully we can decide finally which chassis to run... the black cans should be a BIG factor though. Before the blood bath begins, all I can say is... good luck to everyone... and remember, have fun first (yeah right!)

I dropped a message off. So we'll see what they have to say. I'll post up as soon as I find out.

I looked over the Nat's rules and found something kind of interesting for TB02 racers:

2. Any manufacturer’s electronic speed control, radio equipment, servo saver, antenna, antenna mount, pinion and spur gears (TA-04/EVO series, 414 series and 415 only), ball bearing, tire inserts are allowed.

So, to me, this means that you cannot use 48 or 64 pitch gears on the TB02. Am I reading this right? If that is the case, is the F201 52T spur even legal on the TB02 for the Nat's?

i wouldnt think its legal? because its not a hopup intended for the TB-02. the 52T gear is part of the high speed gear set designed for the F201

arent the gears that come with the TB-02 a 55T, 58T and 61T? someone correct me on that if im wrong.

Thumbs up

Kilruf... I think you would get an OK.. I remember seeing, in the past, F201's (at TCS races) with 1 cut-out that takes up as much room as your 2 cut-outs..

Well Tamiya USA got back with me. Very fast! I'm impressed with their response time! Must be a slow day at work there.. haha. Anyways, they said any hole is allowed as long as it is directly beneath the motor. If it's not, then it's not legal. So with that, I will keep my holes and finish them up nice and neat. Catch yall in Laurel in a week!

Default tb-02 gearing

From Fred through Gary K. The evo 3 spur gear adapter will not be legal for the tb-02. I think he said that any pinion will be legal. Of course it has to be .06.

Looks like the Laurel race is becoming more popular than the Memphis race.
