another question for Larry...

i didnt see it in the rules for Vintage, but for the FF01, can you run the later TRF alloy shocks, and maybe the FRP chassis set? i myself dont have the FRP chassis, but i know a guy who does, and might want to run it.

Wes

on another note... those that have run both, which is typically better? the FF chassis or a 4wd one, like the TA02? this is pretty much new territory for me, as i came in after these were the hot ticket!

Also a bunch of them on eBay. All overseas, but they can ship in time to make Memphis...and we all know you're a pretty quick painter when you need to be!

Wes, I think I'm just going to run the Golf body. Time's running out on alternatives and with all the travel I do I really have to paint something up right away in order to test this weekend.

I can sell you a pre owned/clean one owner Swift body it comes painted and only has a half dozen or so holes, scratches, dents, dings, and bends in it. This a full race ready body with minimal perfect areas. I will part with it for $7.00 and $73.00 for shipping anywhere except the US. You will have to buy another body in order to get the mirrors that broke off and a straight wing other than that its perfect.

I'm out of the office tomorrow so if you want a faster response, please call customer service. Otherwise I'll get you a response on Friday. Thanks!

As of now, the rules from what I understand is that you can't run anything that wasn't initially designed for the vehicle during its production lifespan. Which would technically make the later TRF alloy shocks illegal for Vintage.

What was spotted and run legally at the Aliso vintage class was FRP chassis and the purple cap TA02 / TA03 shocks that use the black clip on plastic spacers for height adjustment. Threaded spring perch would definetly be a no-no.

TA-02, TA-01, and FF-01 cars ONLY in the Vintage class.

FRP chassis allowed.

No modern variations of the TRF shocks. This is to limit people running titanium nitride coated shafts and due to all the variations of "TRF" alloy shocks available.
