I'll be bringing my Craftsman multimeter. I'm doing some testing tomorrow with Andrew on some lipos.

Does the testing go something like this....... Okay Andrew, when I say now, you touch that black and red wire together coming from that 100K generator and then I will meaure the volts shooting out of you ?

I'll be bringing two multimeters to Seattle in case of sabotage.

Freshly charged lipos are reading 8.35 and 8.37 volts respectively during testing.

Yours was one of the first ones that went out too since I shipped them alphabetically. Either that or maybe yours is in the batch that went to Scottys (remember the 15 mile radius pickup).

FYI, my son received his shirt about a week ago. I was getting worried, but just received mine yesterday. We live about a hundred miles from Trackside. But, we both live in the same house and have the same last name, so it's weird that he got his at least a week earlier than I got mine.

It's a great looking shirt. Nice vintage, old school look to it. Thanks Larry and Tamiya.

I think where he lives larry is out of the 15 mile radius. From when I wore mine the other day I don't think trackside got them either. Well I should say they didn't seem to have them yet atleast.

Peace Aaron(W-W)

larry,
apparently it was discovered at the carpet nats a couple weeks ago that one particular manufacturer charger was producing voltage above 8.4, and it was not user error. Roar prez Dawn is contacting the manufacturer... read this info on the "reedy lipo" thread. perhaps you can contact Dawn for more info.

I think any caught overcharging their lipo batteries should not be able to race but also be kicked out of the whole event due to the dangers that are associated with these practices. I sure don't want to be pitting by someone and have there battery blow up and harm me or anyone else for that matter. There needs to be a specific rule in place. Just my 2 cents.

I agree.
So does DammitDon, he just hasn't figured that out yet. Except we would both have used "their" instead of "there". Well, mostly Don, because he's such a stickler on grammar and all...
