We are trying to keep it to one car that has the same gear ratio. The FFO2 is blistering fast compared to the TAO2. Tires can be any Tamiya sedan tire were running black cans with lipo or up to 4200's. The rules are pretty laxed being that its just a fun slower car to race. If any one is interested please post and like I said we have 6 so far so everyone dust off there TAO1 and 2's and lets do some super slow door bangin racing. We need to know pretty soon so that I can tell fred how many we have interested.

Thanks to Scotty and the Trackside crew for a great weekend of racing. Scotty had us on the road by 4 local time, and its a good thing, cuz leaving Indiana coming back into Michigan we had the worst road conditions I have ever seen, which added about 2 hours to the trip.
It amazes me how the quality of racing goes up every year. Were there some ugly races? Yes, but overall, the level of competition has been raised significantly even over last year.
Congrats to the winners, I wish I could have been one, but not this time.
Also while I am at it, I want to announce my semi-retirement from TCS competition. My wife and I are expecting twins in May and that will more than likely consume most of my time. I am anticipating a 1-2 year layoff from TCS, but if Detroit got the nod for a race, there is no way that I would miss it.
So it has been a pleasure racing with all of you ( Even you Marty)
Good luck for the rest of the season, and i'll see you online

I would like to thank Trackside and Tamiya for hosting another great event. There was tight racing in all classes. That's what makes this series sooo much fun. I always look forward to the TCS race at Trackside. With luck and lobbying maybe the 08 Nats will be at Trackside. Hear that Fred!! Thanks also to Scotty for being such a gracious host.

For those of you wondering about LiPo verse NiMH in Mini here is the breakdown from the recent TCS race at Trackside.

TAMIYA MINI Qualifying Order
1) Wippler, Eric - NiMH
2) Sunderlage, Matt - LiPo
3) Ermer, John - NiMH
4) Weir, David - LiPo
5) Dale, Tommy - NiMH
6) Pepe, Ken - LiPo
7) Key, Steven - LiPo
8) St, Amant, John - LiPo
9) Stewart, Mike - LiPo
10) Bertetto, Dave - NiMH

This clearly shows that the LiPo, no wait the NiMH, or maybe the??? Looks like either battery will work just fine.

It was great fun

A Lipo Mini you can get it down to the 1300 gram weight limit set by the new rules. Plus you can move weight around to get the car to handle better. A NIMH Mini will be over weight unless you go with small electronics and find ways to take the weight out of the car.

This was my second weekend with a Lipo Mini and I love it.
My GT3 car be getting Lipo power too!
