Some interesing news for those of you racing GT3 and spec!!!
Must get the Porsche body when it comes out. Future concouse body but what paint scheme to use ?

I think Tamiya needs to add more classes ! I am personally asking Fred / Gary / Larry / Andrew..... we need the Tractor trailer class added to the schedule. There should also be seperate calsses for 13.5 and 10.5 brushless. Oh yeah, and a Mabuchi class for Novice drivers. However, Novice will be defined as anyone with less than 20 years racing experience but only wants to run one set of tires all year, have no spare parts and never practice on there own time.

TT-01 Type E ball bearing set (54025)
TT-01 Type E aluminum prop shaft (54026)

From my data sheet and pictures it looks quite good. New steering system, upper deck, new A & D parts, fiberglass reinforced plastic, and reversible rear suspension arms for short wheel base.

If anyone is interested in running a vintage class Fred said if there is enough
people interested he would run it for regionals. We are running TAO1 and 2's so far we have 6 people 6 more would be great and since these cars are so slow we were talking about running black cans and lipos if thats ok with Fred.

Any one interested.

It gets no better than three days of racing at Trackside. I'm finally home (yes, it's warmer here), am super tired, smell bad, and my feet hurt, but...damn was it worth it!
Hageman wins F103GT in the first two mains, using Red Dot power Wippler wins Mini (nobody is surprised- the guy is amazing); Sakowski wins GT3 in an impressive drive- he won the first Main, Kalk the second (also Red Dot Powered), then Brian walks away with the A3. SWweet.
Lee takes both Gt1 and Gt2, and Matt (Little F1) was class of the Spec field. Really- you guys missed a great one if you weren't there.

Great fun this weekend! Thanks again Scotty and the Trackside crew for an awesome show! Rally was an absolute blast, except for the Wisconsin mud smeared thoughout my suitcase.

Thanks also to MPH for the pit assist (spot saving, chemical storage service, tuning tips, etc). Too bad our pit area had an electrical gremlin too (two ESCs and a Checkpoint charger).

I left that winter mess up there where it belongs. It was sunny and 66 this afternoon in the good ol' South! Tornadoes, anyone?

On to the next one. I've pulled the GT-01 Porsche kit out of storage already!

Doc and Bill, you are allways welcome here as special guests here in the land of deep snow and Fridgid temps. Fun at the track and afterwards is what makes TCS and the out-of town folks visiting so much fun. btw, Paul says thanks too.

If you thought about coming to race #132 and did not, it is your and our loss. We did miss you. It was an awesum event. Between the great TCS racing, cool concourse cars, Scotty anouncing, tripple A's, Snackside, and the great local resturants, it was impossible NOT to have a great time.

Major THANKS go out to Gary 'shivering' Demory for braving the 35 degree temp drop (to 8 below with winds making feel like 40 below) and the slick roads to carry the TCS banner high. It is allways good to see Gary, and the 5 min. "thanks for attending" speech was uplifting! I think Gary should get on the mike more often.

Scotty and his dedicated crew hosted an event second to none.(as allways) Thanks again to all of you!

Gary confirmed that he thought Trackside is very capable and could easily host an exelent TCS Nationals. Remember, Vote for Trackside!!!!!!

Congrats to all the winners and everyone who participated. Thanks for coming.

Marty

RED DOT power ROCKS!!!!

Default Transponder mounting?

Hi, everybody!
I am going to attend my first TCS race this year. How are the transponders mounted in the cars?
Thanks in advance!

Great to hear we've pulled in another TCS victim!!!

Transponders are up to the host track. Some offer loaner transponders, and others require that you have your own personal transponder. Check with the host track before you travel, just to be sure.

As far as mounting a loaner transponder, it's generally mounted by making a small hole in the windshield and attaching it with a body pin. You can also make a mount that will allow the transponder to sit more on the chassis than the body. Again, house rules will apply as far as the exact mounting location.
