As someone said earlier, we can't add a race until we're given a date.

I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up until it was confirmed. Now if I can get the Coliseum to respond to my email, we can get the whip cracking!

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU ILLINOIS GUYS!!!???

Especially you Jeff! I've known you for as long as the TCS has been at Trackside. How many classes have been in the TCS series? Some have faded only to have another take it's place. Others have come from no where to be very popular. The schedule has been bigger yes but I believe it has also been smaller. Classes this year are at an all time high! We have 9 classes at Trackside because we do the rally race. What? Do you have a semi or tank you want to race??? We even raced the mini 4 wheel drive one year upstairs!
HPI??? Do you really want 30+ classes??? Maybe they'll be lucky and have 2 or 3 guys in each class. I'm not picking on them but wasn't that series around many years ago only to die out completely? And not to mention Yokomo!!! ONE YEAR? Maybe 2?
And when you come up here in 2 weeks, ask Scotty how hard it is to coordinate a date that works with a track and Tamiya's schedules!
Sounds like you are disgruntled about something! Don't take it out on the best, longest lasting, FREE, nationwide traveling, (NOT like HPI whose majority of races are in CA), race series and one of the favorite RC companies of most reading this!!!
If you're such a big Tamiya fan, THEN DROP IT and quit rehashing what seems to be done by some uninformed individual EVERY year!
Go get the newest copy of Extreme RC, go to the bathroom, light a candle,
and turn to page 186 + 187 and release your stupidity!!!

I'm done ranting now. I hope this subject dies!

I'll be sending Chicago a registration packet for TCS that I just created.

Coliseum is different since they are current with TCS events and rules.

We are starting a "TCS Club Race", which is essentially a trial test to become a TCS host site. It's still unofficial until I get formal approval. The details will be included in the TCS registration packet for hobby stores to download. I'm working on guidelines so the LHS doesn't think a 30 racer turnout will cut it.

The Coliseum sounds like a great venue, even though I never been there. They seem like they have as much TCS passion as SIR or Trackside from the people that I know that race there.

The "TCS Club Race" also seems like a good idea. There are many sites that, if given a chance might be able to run an official race. Having a club race takes some of the pressure of the track as well as Tamiya.

I do appreciate your listening and taking action in regards to TCS. There are many of us in the series that feel some of the changes I mentioned need to happen and we don't all live in Illinois. Thanks also at looking into some of the details including the hoops. We are all thinking of the success of the series, how unique it is and how we want it to continue. To some my annual comments might sound like whining or complaining, I don't really care. I happily race TCS legal setups year round and wish to have more options come TCS weekend. Seeing you take action, I consider great, every bit worth my "complaining" and being forum whipped . . . .

larrio - All of the things you listed sound great. When you mention Chicago, can you tell us what hobby shop you'll be contacting? For the trial races how can a hobby shop apply for a trial race. Thanks for listening. Your extra effort is greatly appreciated. I realize you had to put in extra time to do it.

I support A-Ko's so called "whining" because his ideas are excellent and it comes from a true concern about the TCS and a dedication to the TCS. Others who like the status quo will see us as whiners. And, didn't you know most Illinoians are whiners. The TCS is an excellent series and we would like to see it grow and hopefully help to make Tamiya America more successful in some way.

Default LIPO's at Trackside

Scotty asked me to post this:

All Lipo charging at Trackside must be done in an approved, appropriate Lipo SACK.

Trackside has allready sold out of there first order of Lipo Sacks. More are on their way.

If at all posible, I would recomend bringing a Lipo sack with you as I am sure he won't have dozens available on race weekend. I am certain he will try his best to have some available for purchase for those that don't have one when they get there.

I was told there will be no exceptions.

Any questions, please call trackside @ 262-783-4699.

Marty (the messnger only, so please, do not shoot)
