You can start by going back to the stock suspension arms. Man are they heavy!!!

From reading the rules, I also thought all the cars in GT2-3 had to make weight, not just the lipo cars?? If it applies only to the lipo cars that's pretty silly.

This was prevented at Cleveland Indoor Champs. A racer was not allowed to touch their cars after the mains. The cars were taken to the tech by the Tech inspectors, not by the driver nor the marshalls.

Anyway, TCS is suppose to be for fun. We don't need video cameras and the tech police out there. There is a probably a 100 ways to cheat and maybe win. But there is over 500 ways to have fun without cheating....
Actually if your car has to goto a tech table after your race, it would be hard to add weight in front of the other 6-9 drivers returning to tech. TA Nats only tech picked up and turned off your car after each run. Making post race weight-in that much more valuable. I don't see all the reginal races having tech turn off all the cars. Maybe for the mains that would be valuable option.

New for 2008!All GT-3 cars must meet a minimum weight of 1550 Grams.

New for 2008! All GT-2 cars must meet a minimum weight of 1550 Grams.

Is there something in the wording I'm not seeing that says it's only for Lipo equipped cars?

All cars should have to meet the weight requirements.
GT2 and GT3 have a minimum weight of 1550 because those classes are allowing the Lipo's. GT1 does not have a weight Minimum and does not allow the Lipo's

Whether I approve or disapprove of the trophy girl, i'm still not in the final decision making process. Just like how I didn't even know the TCS rules were up until I read this thread.

I believe that the dates that were posted a few pages back are fairly set in stone because those are for-sure tracks. Everything else still needs to be worked out. We have several places in mind.

The rules will go through some edited and changes from time to time before the season starts, I think we all know this.

I had to add about 220g to my TRF415MSX to meet the 1550g weight limit when we were testing it with a lipo and brushless system. About 40g on the car and the rest on the 3200 orion lipo (battery weighs 368g total with weights).

414MPH.....are you running F103GT and defending your title 1 more time? You sure you don't want to retire from the 103 series..? (LOL)...when can you email me your latest trackside setup for me? I have not ran the car since the last TCS @ Trackside....so I will need all the old info back to my memory.

A-Ko...what about you...racing F103GT with us..? (you do have 1 right..?)

Does Trackside going to run OFF ROAD...? my 501X really need the debut race...

Confirmed Race Dates as of 12/12/07:

Trackside Hobbies
Feb 9-10

Seattle Indoor Raceway
March 29-30

Memphis TN
May 4

All cars in GT2 and GT3 must make minimum weight. 1550g for brushless and lipo is tough, but you can always run brushless and nimh and have to add less. If there wasn't a weight rule, then the class might as well be lipo only which would make everyone upset about that.

Ah, when it comes to reading the rules,
5 out of 2 racers are "dyslexic"

Lipos generally have less punch than Nimh but have the advantage of being lighter. Nix that advantage. The main reason I wanted to run lipo is that I got sick of buying batteries that only last 10-20 heats. Why not just open the whole thing up to lipo? Pandoras box is open already so lets run them in all classes. You could just require weight minimums in all classes and no one would gain an advantage.
Team Much More Silent Charger. charges both Nimh AND Lipo.

The NY boys will be gentle, did not think you would drive in such a slow class.

I do have one I bought used, unfortunately without the body.
In the process of testing it. Thinking about running it as my 2nd or 3rd class. It will probably make the TCS race trips, if I run it that would be another story.

Kinda vague uncertanty right now about it.
