If its any consolation when I was 15 I built Tony Neisengers Associated 12L that he ran at the IFMAR worlds race in 1988 and he won. So if you need help let me know. Just as long as the car is as easy to set up as an antenna tube. The only thing I promised Tony was if he smoked alot of weed he would win. Moral of the story him and Mary Jane were roommates.

Hello,
I know this question is not related to TCS Racing but it is for Tamiya.

Why was Tamiya America NOT at the I-Hobby Expo Show in Chicago this was weekend? Was hoping to see some of new cars(TA05ifs & TRF416).

Thank you
Dave Hefti

PS Can not wait for The 2008 TCS Rules!

Fred was there, but no Tamiya. The situation was the same as last year. I know there were a lot Tamiya fans that were disappointed, not just rc drivers, model builders, etc.

 Use of item #51293 TA05-IFS F Parts (Hub Carrier) and item #51296 TA05-IFS C Parts (Front Upright) is permitted on TA05, TRF415, and other chassis equipped with reversible suspension arms.
 (TRF Series)
 TRF415MSX (including MS upgrades), MSX Marc Rheinard Edition (MSX M.R.), and MSXX chassis may be used in GT3700 and GT Victory classes, but they must be configured to use stick type batteries. The MSX M.R. must also use item #51253 TB Evo.5 B Parts (Bumper) and TB Evo.5 Urethane Bumper in addition to #49436 MSXX Lower Deck Set for Stick Type Battery.
 TRF415, MS, MSX (F/R Pulley=35T, Center Pulley=16T) and MSX M.R., MSXX (F/R Pulley=36T, Center Pulley=16T) have different secondary deceleration rates, so their designated gear ratios are different.
 Use of the MSX, MSX M.R., and MSXX drive systems on each others’ chassis is permitted. (Gear ratios are determined according to the drive system used, and the center pulley cannot be changed).
 MSXX Drive system and lower deck cannot be used on TRF415 or MS chassis.
 (Stabilizers)
 Stabilizer rods from other Tamiya cars may be used only if they are installed without modification.
 (Air Ducts)
 TRF415MSXX Aluminum Air Duct (BM3) can be used on TA05MS chassis. Use on other chassis is not permitted.
 (Differential Gear)
 Use of differential gear is permitted (M-chassis included) only if it is assembled according to instructions.

 (Front One-Way Diff Unit)
 4WD Front One-Way Diff Unit (item #53200) cannot be used on M-chassis or FF02.

 Modifications such as enhancing magnetic force, timing adjustment and twisting rotor coil are not permitted even if end bell is not detached.
 Significant alteration of motor brush (cutting one side, cutting in moon-shape) is not permitted.
 Installing small fans or other parts to improve cooling is permitted, but parts connected to the motor heat sink and parts made by other R/C makers are not permitted. (Race officials have final decision on whether homemade parts or installation method are legal.)

 MR-S Racing, Audi TT-R and BMW Z4 bodies (use Audi and BMW with GT Victory class only) can be used only with TA04-SS, TA05 and TT01 (short wheelbase) chassis. These bodies cannot be used on any other chassis types. Use item #53942 TA04-SS D Parts or item #53578 TA04SS Hard Suspension Arms (together with reversible suspension arms in case of BMW) to adjust TA05 chassis to short wheelbase.
 Body or carbon damper stay can be shaved or cut only when damper stay rubs against them. Do not change whole silhouette of the body. Modifying damper stay in any other case is not permitted.
 (Body Mount)
