Yeah, I know what you mean. It was an issue here when we had a club race the day before out TCS and some guys were running them. They pointed to the packaging that says that it "meets most IFMAR and ROAR rules." If you have a look at the 2004 ROAR motor rules, it clearly states that the magnets must be ceramic and there can only be two for "stock" motors. Anyways, good luck at TCS! I'm sure you'll have fun.

WOW... that's a great looking track. Wish I could go... it has a Tamiya USA feel.

TCS Tire rules... can we use any tire compound ( Simple Green. Paragon ) on the Tamiya A/B tires?

I don't recall seeing anything regarding traction compound in the TCS rules. I would think this would be a rule that comes from the track, like many carpet tracks only allow Jack the Gripper because of no smell, etc.

traction compound is legal, but you have to go by the host tracks rules of which compounds they allow. For instance Trackside does not allow Paragon they only allow the TQ stuff.

I wonder what the traction is like at Toys for Boys.

Neil,

the results are posted in the Trackside Tamiya Race Thread

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=31771

There was about 139 racers in 21 heats.

There was some great racing in all the classes.

My brother Bruce and I seem to have our cars pretty well hooked up on CARPET and a Tamiya USA type track like Toys for Boys.
It was a real rush for both of us going down that back stretch at
"FULL TILT BOOGIE" i.e. Bob Varsha the back stretch in Atlanta was the longest straightaway that I have ever driven a F1 car on
it is longer than Tamiya USA. You could see the contrails coming off the rear wings on our cars. I can't wait for the Nats in August
@ Tamiya USA . You had to gear the car for BONNIVILLE.

Steve.
