Talking Tamiya Sat.

Hey Oliver,
If I see Fred this weekend I'll ask him!
Kevin,
You have been doing some serious practicing these past weeks, see ya tomorrow!
Chris,
How's the "R" working for ya?
Got the MRE working pretty good. Had Fred drive it a couple of weeks ago with a 23 turn and he said he liked it alot. I just need to find a good insert for the B3's. I'd also would like to get some of those blue or neon yellow rims that Tamiya makes. Did you try the Orange rims? Are they more brittle then the dish and will they crack easily. I wonder if Kevin can get me some from you know where!!!
Kevin,
Any chance of you getting some blue or Orange rims? How about the neon yellow?

Default ROLL CALL TCS Nats.

I plan on running F103GT. The Aliso regoinal was alot of fun. I thought all the cars were fairly close in performance, except that TQ and Winning guy Tom. Nice run!
I anticipate a good turnout and nothing but a great time at the final Aliso event. Monday the 27th will be sad though
We should start a roll call. Later, the predictions can begin. Those are allways good fiction reading.

Roll Call:
Marty Hageman F103GT
Paul Hageman GT1
next?

Marty

Doc,
It will be very interesting regressing back to the 2400 or 3300 nicads? I do know the cars will be much lighter??
The Hinkley House of Horsepower Dyno Room has been working 24 hrs a day trying to extract every ounce of hp from these Black Can Motors !!!

Any word on the open practice days usually it's 8/21 - 8/24 9am - 4pm, Gary @ laurel last weekend advised that maybe practice will only be Thurs and Friday???

Steve- If they use Uncle Freddy's Hot Zoot 3300's, they will be nimh, not nicad. Lighter than 4200's but the same as last year. Unless my prognosticator is misaligned...

Latest word on GT2/Mini spec batteries for the Nats from what I would consider a pretty reliable source: 2400 nicads

PLEASE, PLEASE - for those of us who have already made our non refundable plane ticket purchases, practice should be as always, starting on Tuesday, 8/21. Why in the world would they want to limit practice?

Max - good running with you last Saturday. Had some clean fun runs with you and also Mr. Fung (oh yeah, and Land missle Timmy). I will come up with some "color" for you for some rims by the Nats.

Regarding practice, wait for Fred to post something. Keep in mind that Tamiya is moved out of the warehouse building and the offices are now at a new location so staff have to drive to get to the track now rather than walk across the parking lot.

damn, so your saying I will need to bring extra parts to the track during speed week this year... I'm going to miss having customer service across the lot, air conditioned while you wait

Maybe we'll get to break out the old pulsed charging profiles to wake these old batteries up? I hope not - at least last year when we all used 3300 nimh cells we could take them back home and use them for weekly club racing.
