Speaking of the Nationals- whoever thinks they have a shot of winning the trip to Japan better work on their passprt now if they don't already have one or you may not be able to go to japan;

Never ran HPI tires so can't compare. As for rims, depends on the driver and "hits" the car takes. Tamiya dish, 5-spoke and grey 18-spoke all work well. The Beams Integra rims do not hold up well for racing. At the T/A regional, a guy used the clear blue rims and they held up good. He won GT-2 with them.

I have a couple of sets of original B's, are they worth bringing to run with?
I am trying to minimize the tire expense as much as possible.
Actually I am trying to minimize the expense all the way around

for regionals.. i practiced with 1 run RP30s (leftovers from this year's Reedy Race). got my car "close" then ran the B3s at regionals. might be a good way to minimize tire expense.

Another benefit of practicing with old tires is it really exagerrates the weakness of your setup... if you're a little loose with new skins it'll be really obvious with old kicks

I was ! And I was happily surprised to see them last. But then, you really didn't hit any curbs so you didn't give them a real T/A test.

Hey Bill glad to see that you're going to make it to Laurel this year! We're are going to be at Glen Burnie at noon on Saturday, but if you can't make it, we'll see you Sunday at Laurel. We have room under our Easy-up if you would like to pit with us.
