Matt, I will bring the large EZ Up and there will be room for you in the shade. Also sharing with Bill Doty from AL, but there will be plenty of room for all. He sometimes runs Mini, so he's weird like us...you'll like him And he'll appreciate the 110 power.

Talking RE: Spool & B-3's

Don't' forget B3's are only one run tires, where as RP 30's are good for 3 to 4 runs. You can run B3's more than once but the performance drops off big time in GT-1. I was able to get 2-3 runs on B3's with GT-2, but that's it!
The layout in the regionals cut the short shoot off at the end of the sweeper so I needed to hit the brakes hard to go deep in the corners to pass. Then in the dreaded kink you want to go deep also before hitting the brakes to go around the carousel. so a spool was the way to go!

Hi Guys,

Just to help us better estimate the amount of tires and rims we need to bring in for the nationals for you guys, we started a pre-order on the following:

B3 Tires

Tamiya dish (yellow and white) rims, and 5-spoke rims

Stock up early to avoid the last minute scramble. We plan on filling pre-orders in about 2 weeks time and we will contact you first when tires and rims arrive to see if you need anything else with the order.

Thanks guys!

Default Tamiya B Tires 53412

Hey guys, looking less and less like I'll be at Nationals so I figured I'd see if anyone here would be interested in some B tires. These aren't the B2's or B3's but the much sought after B's. I'd rather see someone use them than let them sit. PM me and we can talk.

Yep, just another weird mini driver! In fact, I plan to run mini next weekend! And yes, AC power will be nice for motor changes on the sedan.

Looking forward to it, Doc. Saw from your post that you won't be around Saturday, so I guess I'll see you bright and early Sunday.

Mini - No spec class at the Nationals. Jacob will have to run GT-2/3 just like Tigress.

Ummmmm - GT-2/3 like I mentioned in the post. Tamiya calls it GT-2 because it is GT-2 rules (any tub chassis like TA04 / TA05 / TB-02) rather than just TL-01 and TT-01. Nationals will be spec battery and motor (black can 540 motor) and battery still to be determined per Sir Fred this last weekend that you have to buy at the track weekend of the Nats from Tamiya. Tigress will be running the TA05 with the lots of red parts on it. For Nats, can not run NSX or any Ferrari body for this class.

What's the thinking or logic behind not allowing the NSX or Ferrari bodies for GT2/GT3? Tamiya bodies are great, but they are very expensive. The NSX and Ferrari's are two of the most popular bodies all over the world. Are they trying to discourage people from running the national race? With the cost of travel, I would think they would want to encourage people to come to the race to promote their products. On ther web site, in the introduction of the TCS page, they use the words in bold print "fun, low cost." It is fun and they don't charge you to race, but with the reduction in the number of races and the cost of travel I am not sure it's low cost any more. I enjoy participating, but some of their decisions puzzle me.
