I have TT01 chassis

Can I run any ESC? or have to be ESC comes with TT01?
For shock spring. Can I use any Tamiya spring ? or only silver one in the kit?

Thank you
I just set-up a TT01 for my girlfriend that she ran at Fremont. Had the allowable hop-ups listed on the website. You can use any esc or servo. I did ask about changing the philips screws to hex screws and was told by Sir Fred of Starbucks had to leave them stock philips style. We ran yellow springs on the oil filled plastic shocks (legal spec upgrade to use the oil filled plastic shocks, P/N's on website) and nothing was said to us. Be sure to use the right tires for the class. Rules are specific on the 26mm size and P/N's for the three tires allowed, kit slick (TT01 or TL01 version, not the TA05 "kit" slick) semi-slick or radial.

Hey just wondering if someone can fill me in on a good insert for the Tamiya B3 at Aliso. I am looking at some Xenons but no idea which ones if I go that route.

A lot of guys were telling me to go for a tire insert that would give more of an air gap in the tire than the tamiya inserts do. What do other people think about that? When guys like Rod and Corey are telling me that, I tend to listen to them.

Thank yiou for the info. For Screws..
Lightweight screws that are made of aluminum, steel or Titanium that are made by other manufactures are allowed. i.e. any screw is legal. (Be aware! If you win the National title down the road and head over to Japan for the Tamiya World Championships, all screws must be TAMIYA screws only!)

Is this not for spec class?

Looks like i'm going to have to miss the Aliso regional after all. My dad's retirement party is that weekend and I couldn't convince him to move the party to the tamiya track.

Correct, not for Spec class. I confirmed that with Fred Medel. They want to keep the Spec class as simple and box stock as possible. The rule above is for the GT-1 /2 /3, mini and F103 classes.

How about asking him to come to So Cal to pick up a Courage body for you, and then you decide to join him. A retirement road trip !
