And another place. Team Brood's home Track, Peel It Raceway is closing the end of the month. A very sudden closure as well. Roar NAts just got Moved to SIR cause of that.

The sport is changing. It is always changing.

Tracks come and go, classes rise and fall in popularity, and things continue to change. Batteries go up in capacity, stock motors get a little faster, tire technology improves, and companies that used to be considered second or third tier in terms of performance (like Tamiya) become World Champions.

Likely, it will ever be thus. If it were not, THEN the sport/hobby would be dying.

Just my $.02

More change? Check out the pic of my new ride. Sold the R32 and bought an AMG C55

Casey- I also liked the G35, also looked at the 335i and some low mileage M3's. But the torque and HP from that hand built all aluminum 24 valve 5.4L V-8 sold me. Thing weighs maybe 100 pounds more than my R32 but has 122 more HP.

Nice ride, Doc!

On the other subject, things have flattened out around here too. Several club members started to run oval on a big Quarter Midget track, and have neglected the on-road racing this season. So it appears the TCS events provide my best opportunity for racing.

On another subject, I just picked up my Tamtech Porsche. When will the rules be refined for the Porsche Cup Challenge at the Nats? I'd like to know if it will be an out-of-the-box class (vinyl tires), or should I be working on a set of hand-made tires???

I would bet you have to run tamiya tires, the new tire should be out before nats, I hope.

The SG tire.
it was in the instruction book for the Porsche, but was annouced @ the Shizuoka Show.
My guess is it is the Old Super Slick for the rear and a new thinner one for the front.

Did you know Mini Tires fit on the Porsche rear wheel??
