For all that are interested in the Seattle TCS race. Here are some pictures of the track after our last Update. (Kerb removal)
We now can have a track length that has nearly a 80 foot longer racing line, than the longest track we could layout before.

Without going into the exact same rant, let me pose a question or two.
1 - Do you think NASCAR or the FIA waits till the last minute to release the rules for the new season?
2- Wouldn't it make sense to get this issue out of the way so that we can go off and prepare for Round #1 (and 2 as some of you are going to make the trip)?
Really my bitch is more about parts supply than the rules themselves. By leaving the balls in the air this long, if there are rule changes that require purchases on everyones part, someone will get screwed. I am still dedicated to Tamiya, but waiting months for parts to come in or paying the freight to get stuff out of Asia is beginning to get old, about as old as the whinig about rules.

Brad: Nope, not related -- but I think you know who he is....(he'll be @trackside in march) I know its a sore spot about the rules, but hey man, there ain't nuttin' we can do about it.... I'm jus' sayin. (PS- you know, keeping your balls in the air can keep them from getting all stinky and sweaty and infected..... Trust me, I'm a Doctor)

Troy: Can't wait to get to SIR.... VERY nice changes. I've been a good boy and have saved my nickels and should be "allowed" to make it!!!!

While the kerbs were great unfortunately they were a hinderance to some racing in the NW and we had to take a serious look at removing them. What you all will find is that grip has not suffered and the patches are just as smooth as the rest of the track. By TCS the groove should be about the same as we had after the 24hr Enduro.

The big advantage as Troy said is that we can have even better layouts than before. Our first stab at it this month resulted in a track 40' longer than before. The chicane complex by the Money tree is THE corner. Get it wrong and your lap looks like poo.

As a sneak preview to all the loyal TCS'ers we are also planning a major International Race with one of the mfg's that will have some of the very top name drivers in attendance. Classes look to be 12mod, Sedan Mod, and Sedan 19t, spec tire and alot of quals and mains. We should be announcing the event in the next 2-3 weeks. Trust me you will want to come to the event. Mark your calendars for June 14-17

Track looks awesome. More space for layouts and the same traction as last year...who could ask for more?

My calendar is set for that weekend in June...I'll be at the beach!

I figure on getting in on Friday before noon and practicing until you throw me out. Please run quint A's and triple B's on Sunday so that we get in lots of run time...I won't fly home until Monday!!!
