curious... i heard that they used the GT tuned (25T) motors in TCS Worlds. i wonder what this will do for a spec motor at the 2007 TCS Nats for GT2?

lipo please fred!

how about something like this: (all lipos should ONLY be team orion/peak)
GT1: any lipo (4800 and/or 3200)
GT2: same as GT1
GT3 and Mini: 3200 only (better fit)

F103GT: 4800s (better fit)

I love Tamiya concourse. Was awarded my share. This was my last attempt and the last F-103 concourse winner at Tamiya.

From the earlier post, I am aware that you can drill more holes in the body to make the stock bumper fit, but why would I want to put more holes in a brand new body? I could understand the parts shortage if the car had just come out, but its been out for at least 6 months, and a bumper of all things, the part that probably takes the most impact out of any part on the car. That would be the first thing I would stock up on for spares.
MDawson,
You are absolutely right on most counts, Fred and crew are top notch. I really think that these guys get the short end of the stick from Japan. The US is the 2nd biggest market from Japan for Tamiya. To me it is a shame that they dont give TA more to work with in terms of budget and head count. I would liken it to a race team with a great driver and crew and no sponsor.
Marty,
I remember that car, still very cool
gtype,
you guys are rekindling what we had going out there in the early-mid 90's and the height of the Tamiya renaissance. Keep it up

It's a Courage LC70 in a livery based on the Ferrari F2002. The Courage LC70 is a single seater complying to the LMP ACO/FIA 2005 regulations.

Thanks for all the comments!

Now this is what Tamiya racing is all about. I loved racing rally.....offroad and onroad. Like peanutbutter and jelly.

Can you imagine... limit the hopups like the TT-01 class and have a ball.

I am an idiot!!

I am a freakin moran!!!!

I am a nutjob!!!!

My wife is gonna kill me!!!!

My son thinks I'm wacked!!!!

My dogs are even thinking I've gone over to the "other" side....

First thing I did was to buy me a a new "real" car last year. 2006 Mustang GT. 5 speed 300 HP....

SO what did I do last Friday....

Went out and bought the F103GT and finished putting it together last night....
100% stock......

And it looks like we will be running the F103GT class the my local track as 3 other people have bought/ordered this kit...

Now I have to get a practice body for this car....

Where is the problem?

1 Give your son the F103 GT you just built

2 Buy yourself another F103GT

3 Put a TRF scarf on the dog's neck

4 Put the the son, the dog, the 2 F103 in the Mustang and go to the track to race the 3 other guys.

5 Change the wife.

All the best to everyone for 07

Not to rain on the parade, but changing the wife makes this scenario all but impossible, if you catch my drift.
I would say that rather than going insane, you have actually come to your senses. The 103GT is probably the most cost effective way to go RC Car racing, if there is such a thing. Not to mention it is a great platform for a novice racer like your son. Anyone know of a clinic where we can go to kick this Tamiya addiction?
