I spoke with Fred earlier in the week. He was trying to get commitments from track owners. I would expect something in a few weeks when it all gets ironed out.

To all you midwest racers, check out the WTCS on their thread here on RC tech and at www.wisconsinrctouringcarseries.com Hope you can make a few races.

If you TCS guys are looking for an ultra competitve, fun event to race your cars at (on rubber tires) thats only 3 days long, then come on out to the Gate for the Halloween Classic!! Details here www.clevelandcarpetracing.com

Actually-you can just race Saturday and Sunday and you'll get 4 qualifiers and your Main!! Entries are always above 200, but cut-off right about there to keep a reasonable schedule.

I must vent my outrage here to all of you who carelessly participated in the banter last month, shame on you.

Are you all so self obsorbed as to ignore the feelings and heratige of others who share this forum?

I thought everyone knew of the all the hub bub as to the desires by our nautical friends to be refered to as Buckineer Americans rather then the condicending and insulting 'P' word.

J/K

Good luck to those couragious North Americans in their quest for GOLD in Japan.

Has anyone heard if the F103gt will be class in 2007? There were very few F201's in Cincinnati and Milwaukee. They also took a vote of the drivers about the F1 class in Milwaukee. Very few wanted to continue with the F201's.

I think its a foregone conclusion that F201 is dead. From the way Fred was talking at Trackside, it seems like they are pushing for a new F1 chassis, but who knows when that will happen. I am building up 2 F103GT chassis in anticipation that it will be a class in 07. If not, there is a lot of interest in the class here in Detroit, so I will run it locally. My question is, what will the next bodyset be for the GT? While the newer breed of LMP cars arent as sexy as the old GTP cars an Audi R10 or Porsche RS Spyder would be cool to run alongside the Courage

I think there would be a lot of interest in the F103gt because of its simplicity and price. It would definitely increase the size of that class. Since it's a rear wheel drive car where can we find set up tips? It would be very much like the old 10L's of the 1990''s. The difference being that back then we ran foams.

The class will succeed if Tamiya supports it. IMO they bailed way early on the 201. If the manufacturer doesnt get behind the product, neither will the customer. For the most part all they have to do on this one is dust off the tooling for all the old 103 hop ups, no development needed.

I've seen a lot of hop-ups on Ebay. I have been looking for a cheaper price for the F103gt. Most places have the rolling chassis for $109.99 and the one with a body for $138.00. There are sellers on Ebay who have a cheap "Buy It Now" price, but the shipping makes it the same or more expensive than buying it domesticly. Has anyone found a cheaper price? Thanks.

It's not that expensive. Buy it at your local hobby shop and be building it tonight.

My opinion. This assumes you have a local shop. Not everyone does.

I emailed Tamiya asking when the 2007 TCS schedule would be out. The answer I got was near the end of November.
