Bring it on gents. This is going to be alot of fun this year. Bring it on! Oh wait. I'm not racing. OK well bring it on anyway

Most questions should be answered on the page. Whatever isn't answered I'm sure Katzer or someone will ask.

BTW who out there plays TOCA 3 online on their PS2????? I'm calling people out.
you know there is a "CHRIS LIM" in canada. i think he hijacked my account.

TOCA? why not No Limit Texas Hold em?

Fred is F1 racing this year if not take out the references to it.
Can I enlarge the hole in my M04 wheels??
Also can our Canadian friends race, even if they don't win the canadian finals, but they have raced and placed in the top 10 in a US regional?

TOCA 3 ? Geez Fred, I'm still on the original TOCA. No wonder my driving skills are so bad.

Sorry to hear you have plenty of black cans. I was hoping to add another F103-LM to my collection like Eeyan.

Ok, here's my list of questions:

Will racers be allowed to modify the spec battery packs in any way? IE, replacing the connectors, modifying the shotgun tubing, the end caps, etc?

What equipment will be used to test the motors for amp draw? I bought 2 new black cans today and out of the box they are both drawing 1.2A @ 2v on a GFX and an Orion MPM2.

When will the motors in question be checked? When someone requests it, completely random? Will a racer be allowed to clean a motor before it is teched?

And I only ask because I care Fred

A minimum weight rule? Hmm....anyone know how much an MSX weighs out of the box with your basic receiver and smallish ESC? Guess I'll have to buy some scales or bring some lead with me! What is this, a ROAR race?

Katzer, Whatever you are thinking about , it is probably outside the rules.(lol)
I would hate to be the guy that gets the 1 in a million motor that pulls 1.5 out of the box and gets thrown out. I myself will not be there this year, we are expecting a new racer to the family and although she is not due until mid Sept. I cannot stray to the coast. I will keep an eye on the forums though, its that time of the year when the smack talk peaks.

Man so many questions already
OK. #1 The only F-1 reference I see is the one in concourse. It's just a example I use.
#2 No drilling or enlarging holes in any of the classes on the wheels.
#3 I said you can change the connector on all the batteries. That's OK, but now that you mention it you will not be allowed to remove the plastic end caps or remove any tubing.
#4 The motors will be spot checked. If I see a GT-2 or Mini that is suspect fast or even if it seems quick to me I will let the guys know to spot check it. I may also random spot check guys that are on TQ runs. For laughs and giggles I will also announce over the PA for a show of hands or a show of applause on who they want spot checked. Example: "Hey everyone! Katzer just broke the TQ by a lap. With a show of hands who wants that motor checked? I'll let your peers judge you. This should be a riot
In the mains though we will check top 4 motors in A Mains.
#5 I will be using my brand new shiny PEAK/Orion/Much More Motor Checker. BTW I got the amp draw wrong. John C pointed out 1.3 makes sense for silver cans. He's right. I just checked some black cans I have here at home and they measure 1.6-1.7 Not final yet, but I will have to amend the amp to maybe 2.0 or 1.9.
Any Toca 3 drivers out there????? Come on I'm waiting.....
