Default Go-Karts anyone

So a few of us are getting together Thursday evening to go run at the Indoor Kart Track in Anaheim. About 20-30 minutes from Tamiya USA. Some of you know the place, it's DROMO1 on Main or Katella. www.dromo1.com I think for directions. Scotty and the WI boys are going for sure, and anyone else is welcome as it's a public place. It's a blast, it's $25 a run, you get about 15 to 20 minutes of on track time and they give you a print out of your lap times. For trash talking pursposes of course.

We'd probably be there about 6 or 7 o-clock.

Good practice today guys. The track isn't green, great traction even early in the morning. Maybe tomorrow, I'll take some pics and post them. Lots of competitors arriving everyday! Looks like friday will be controlled practice.

Hey Neil or Rod, Could you please either post a baseline f201 setup or e-mail it to me. I am coming from NorCal and can't leave until Friday night. Plus I 've never been to this trackso it'll be an adventure It would be nice to have the car close when I get there.

Also, is anybody doing anything special to the motors? What brushes, springs, etc? I heard they were laydown so it's all about the mod brushes right? Is there any precautions that should be taken with the 2 only motors we can get to buy?

tia,

jmf

Hey Fraz...good question about setups. Unfortunately, I'm still scratching my head after what happened today. I was doing well with Take Off's and then I switched to B's and was instantly .7-1 second slower! hehe Either the theory of TO's being close to B's is a little off or my setup is kaka. I'm guessing the later...woops!

You can feel the tension building today. More people showing up. More trash talking and mind games.

Hi Guys,

Some of the results that I remember:

GT-1:
1st Place and TQ = Rod Canare (Congrats Rod!)
2nd place = EJ Evans
3rd place = Mark Dawson

GT-2:
1st Place and TQ= Mike Rydwell (congrats mike!)
2nd Place = Rudy Rodriguez
3rd Place = John Christensen

F201:
1st Place = Steve Williams (Great job Steve)
2nd Place and TQ = Neil Rabara
3rd Palce = ????

I don't remember the mini results. Martin Crisp of Canada won the past champion race. Jason Yu of Xtreme R/C won the media madness.

Results should be posted tonight or tomorrow on the Tamiya USA website.

Thanks Randy, the computer readout has Steve Williams as the TQ, but how it turned out was he was the single round TQ. TCS takes your best two rounds and figures out TQ. That way it rewards being fast and consistency. That person was me.

Great job to everyone and the efforts put into this great event. Great job Rod, looks like you figured out your hammering problems. George, thanks for the part support. Steve Wang, good job on the B main win. Thanks Arthur for putting my car through tech and setting it down.
