Default Fourth final class

Well as everyone knows three of the usual four classes for the N. American finals have been announced. GT-1, GT-2, and Mini are a go. Is there a reason why the fourth class has not been announced? What could it be, front wheel drive, tanks, F201, Grasshoppers. Anyone have any info.

I thought Sedan was considered a 4 door body, and sports car body was two door. I don't know if having a back seat on a 2 door was the issue or the option to distinguish the two?, but I could be wrong!

F201 will be run at the North American Finals.

It is unsure which class is a Japan winning trip.

For sure:

Gt1
Gt2
un-named 3rd class

Default class

Just wondering because they dont list any motor or batt rules for f201. That and I dont think they would send MINI over F201. I guess I'm hoping that the new 2wd sedan will be a US nats only class....bit of a stretch i know.

Default Body Rules

hey guys... the rules are just for nats.

here it is:
The GT2 class will be limited to 4 door touring car bodies and 2 door sedan bodies only. Sports car bodies are not allowed.

Fred Medel posted a while back and stated.. a CLK body is legal (2 doors, but has a back seat). another example would be the Toyota Celica.

i would guess 350Z would NOT be legal since it does not have a back seat.

hehe.. lets speculate some more hopefully Fred will post and clarify.

I did too. If you look at Finals info it does not mention F201 at all. I'm sure its going to be a finals class but the lack of info had me wondering.

Tamiya is making a new mini kit on their MO3M chassis. It is the Suzuki Swift Sport 1600. No pics from tamiya yet but here are two from suzuki japan of the real one to give you an idea.

Default F103GT

like all of you, i'm stoked about the new direct drive touring car f103gt chassis... but am i the only one thats disappointed the steering servo is not laid down??

i don't see why they couldn't use the lemans 103 bottom plate to lay down the servo... saves me from having to cut the mounting ears off.

can't wait for tcs!

I am sorry to see that RCO has lost this race. An awesome group of racers and the best kind of owners....REALLY gonna miss it......I know next to nothing about why, but looks from the outside of it that this was RCO's race to lose.....that is really hard to watch.

I'm glad though, that the C has stepped up to the plate and will hold the race!!!!

THANK YOU HOBBYTOWN AND TAMIYA FOR FIXIN' IT!!!!!! BRILLIANT!!!!!

Agreed, Bruce. Always sorry to see a track get into trouble, and Allison and Chris were always very nice to me as an out-of-towner.

On the other hand, I think that Frederick has an opportunity here to step up and put on an excellent event. Looking forward to a day of pracice on Friday and racing on Saturday!
