Because of the fixed gearing (you have two ratios to choose from on the car), the stock motors will get hotter and thus cause the major problem with the stock plastic chassis, warping.

Besides, it makes the cars a lot more fun to race. It also makes more sense since F201 runs 23T at the Nats just like the GT-1 cars that run 19T at regionals.

Basically, the 19T's are ball bearing motors instead of bushing which reduces the heat a little. But theres something about the power curve of that wind that just doesnt get as hot as a 27T. Trust me they still get hot, but not nearly as hot as a ROAR stocker. Running 19T's is a big win for the class, as it was on the verge of going buh-bye. Hopefully the motor change will bring some new drivers in. The cars are definitely faster, but the power is usable, and you dont have to keep the throttle pegged to go fast. We ran them in our local series in Detroit last summer and on top of all that they are surprisingly equal in terms of power output. We ran Reedys, the one with the big comms and they worked very well. Looking forward to the coming season, already painting bodies for WOH, end of Feb will be here before you know it.

Speaking of painting bodies, does anyone thought of painting your f201 bodies with Indycar style? I know it doesn't fit with the idea, but could be interesting and I especially thought of painting Danica Patrick's colors.

19T in F201 should be fun...I'm sticking with F201 class for 2006

It should be. By the way, Steve, do you plan on supplying the new V-12 19t Spec motor from Integy? The motor looks promising.

What sort of speed differential should there be between a 19t touring on foams vs. the gt1 class on carpet? I ask because the only person I can practice rubber tire on carpet with is myself as no one else runs rubbers.

RTolle,
Which track? I assume World of Hobbies?? I stopped by during a buisness trip for a day, and I had a blast. It's a pretty small track. You'll probably loose .3 .5 sec per lap going from foam to rubber. If you are using Tamiya tires, you'll probably loose another .2 sec.

We will stock them as soon as more is available. We will have their stock motors tomorrow, however I think they are all out of the 19T at the moment
