The front ball diff is not legal for the 415 because Tamiya did not make one (front 1-way is centered, rear ball diff is offset). Only TCS legal option for the 415 up front is the kit 1-way or Hop-up option Tamiya spool. On an EVO III or IV or TB02, ball diff up front is legal because the front and rear are the same.

Doc - Bodies went out today. E-mail sent.

Minimadman - if you get the DJ rear supension, try to get the newer version made by Tamiya Japan. ( I just installed it on my 415MSX) The rear hubs are drilled so you can use the S/S suspension shafts that require the grub screw in the center to hold them. The US version was not drilled and tapped so you have to use the stock 25mm shaft (black with threads on one end). BTW - the Japan version also comes with the "hop-up" S/S 25mm shaft also.

Kevin,
How can you tell the difference between the two versions? Is the part number different? Does anyone in the states carry the JPN version? I noticed the #1004 on the TamiyaUSA website, but I found a 53### number on other sites. Also, they say the arms are aluminum, but they sure don't look it on the picture. Gets pretty confusing.

Minimadman - #1004 is the U.S. version. P/N 53866 is the "new" Japan version. I think Steve at Speedtech has the new version now. As for the rear arms, they are a nice shiny black and they are aluminum.

Bill, my 415MS/DJ showed uplast night. Got it from Jasper David & it came with a spool and a fixed center drive, too. Sweet. Looking forward to running some GT1 at TCS. Should be fun!

Oh My God, Doc's going to race GT1! Guess the new Coke-bottle glasses are helping him see better in his old age

Not in Denile, nor in DesMoines
Can't see any better than before, but I figure a GT1 car will make more noise when it hits the corner dot, so it should be easier for me to drive!

They also fly better. Just think of the air time possible when hitting the point of the esses at Tamiya ! Now I know why you wanted two bodies.

Yeah, funny thing about that. I tend to go through a couple of bodies a season. Can't stand driving one that's got cracks and scrapes on it...

That is when the body starts getting good. You should see the latest body I have been practicin with a LW mondena. It is sooo bad the track owner is threatening me each time I run it.... I don't like driving cracked ones, I just get tired of painting them.....

Have a Merry Christmas!

I got a question on the TCS new rules for F201 class. It said that the motors to be running are 19t specs to alleviate the heat issue caused by ROAR stocks. Can anyone explain changing motor specs with something faster helps?
