I'll be running GT-1 but I'm a newbee to WOH. I'm guessing Type-A tires, but I'm sure everyone has a different opinion on inserts.

I scanned the rules this year and didn't see anything against spools other than "Tamiya Hop-ups only". Did I miss something? I don't think a one-way would be a lot of fun on a tight track. I'd rather run a diff up front, but I don't think there's one out there for the 415 that's TCS-legal. Any suggestions?

Got it, Sandman. Don't think I'll be there today as I'm going to spend the day in Frederick running the Mini.

Bill, my 415MS/DJ showed uplast night. Got it from Jasper David & it came with a spool and a fixed center drive, too. Sweet. Looking forward to running some GT1 at TCS. Should be fun!

Later

Hey Doc, sounds great. I saw that car and it did look nice. I hear that DJ rear suspension is the hot setup for keeping the rear planted. I might have to give it a try. My MSX came in Thursday, but the boss is making me wrap it up and put it under the tree.

Looking forward to another fun TCS season. I'm hoping to make 4 races this year, one way or another. First stop, Ohio. See you there!

For those of you that are going to run at cincy there having a money race at the end of January. If they can get enough poeple to run the TCS classes I'm sure that they would add it to the schedule. It be a great chance to get some track time in. The thread is at http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=93699

Who told you that? If the ball diff wasn't legal, your car will be running one ways front and rear, sir. Of course it is legal. I think SPOOL would be illegal on EVO III since Tamiya make OEM spool for EVO IV and 415 recently. No, ball diff is legal and it will be the same kit that you built on the rear gearbox so is front one way.

HOWEVER, if you plan to run Reedy Race, the official rules says that one way is illegal.

Mike,
I might go to Nashville after the new year. Sounds like a good idea to get used to rubber tires on carpet, since my only carpet experience is with foam tires. If we can get Randy and perhaps Dave to join us that weekend, we could see about a mini class too. I think both of those guys may join us in Ohio.
