Yeah, I guess it's time we saw the "official" word from Fred, since the rumor mill hasn't been too accurate.

Been looking at the 415MS Refine 2, also thinking about the (someday it will be released) TA05R/MS/TRF with a graphite tub (you know it's coming) and upper deck (ditto) and using one chassis to run GT1 and GT2. Same battery layout, plus a lathe, couple sets of the same tire types, only one set of spares, two motors...easier packin' for those long plane flights!

Later
Doc
Doc, I bet you could write a novel on all your TCS plane flights...

Talking RE: GT-2 bodies!

I believe all this body change is only for the finals in Aliso Viejo, not an issue for the regionals.
GT-2 is 4 door bodies only, but if the body had a back seat then the two door will be allowed.
I think the biggest change is the spec batteries, I hope Fred puts a limit on how many you can spec.
I remember he mentioned putting a minimum weight limit for the finals but I'll believe that when I see it!!!
Gt-1 can only use Sports Car bodies, which is pretty much what I use anyway.
I plan on running GT-1 so no real issues for me.

Richard-
You still got the same setup on your Mini from the Charity race in September?

I need to get the low-rider shocks and springs to complete the setup. I've been running in Frederick, MD indoor asphalt track ( tar so soooo smooth... ) so I did have to change the setup for it...

I can safely say the new ones are available for you to trash..uhm...I mean race. Keep the old ones on your shelf please. That's where it belongs.

Please add Lexus IS200 to your list too.

Question for Fred/FMW:
I have an old E-Class body from the TG10Mk1 Long Suspension kit. Would that be legal as well? I know it was never widely available. I just want to know if I will be able to use it or not?

As far as cars, I will be trying to revive my TB01 with double deck CF and/or my TB Evolution II for the race. I know it's ancient but those are the two I'm really comfortable running with (and hopefully there is no small rocks again this time...that's what happened the last time...)

hehehe... no worries, even -I- wouldn't succumb to such willful destruction of capital!

BTW, am I correct in thinking that the only difference between the various M3 body sets (Schnitzer, Linder, Autotech) is one sponsor-specific decal sheet?

How much of a PITA would it be to repro the Linder/Jagermeister sheet?
