If TCS 2006 USA Rules had a Group C Class, who would run it?
So far the winners are;

BP Shadow - Might be good with GT2 and a steak dinner.
doc - Running a shrink wrapped box with wheels sticking out of it...
mr_postman - Could be in vacation limbo.
tom dav - Credit car holstered for immediate announcement.

I would run the C Class 100%. I am very fond of the IMSA style cars.

Hey Chris! You guys still gonna runn these cars til I move in Laguna Nigel in 2007? I might be interested in starting a class down there!

PS If these cars are very good on The high grip Tamiya America track. Then they would be steallar on Trackside's CRC Fastrack II Carpet! YEEEEEHHHAAAAAWW!

Ihobby expo was great...too bad I didn't have camera with me. I wanna thank Dave Jun for the hookup with Mr. S.Tamiya. I got a guidebook signed it's kinda smeared right now but as soon as I get back to Nor Cal, i'll scan it and post it here. I also met the famous George Canare (although he disagreed with me ) and Fred. Yeah, I made a push for black cans for GT3 which I still feel it's a natural progression from Rookie class and weed out the man from the boys from that extra horsepower. They promise me that they will post my picture with Mr. Tamiya...I have yet to see them but when I do, I'll post it here

Did a check on Group C car tires. The rear rims are 8mm larger diameter than the F103 rims so the different compound F103 foam tires will not work.

Here's a pic of the Group C Mercedes C11. If you're wondering about body size, an F103LM Toyota TS020 next to this car makes the Toyota look like a 1/12th scale car.

Group C front and rear pretrued donuts and accessory rims (black spoked and white mesh) have been released in Japan. Looks like around $20 for a full set. Titanium screw set is available too (although I'm not certain whether it's a Tamiya part or put together by someone else).
Sweet!

Hey, what about me ? Didn't I start this Group C hysteria in the first place ?

Hebiki - Here are the P/Ns:

P/N 50399 - Black spoke wheel set (Mercedes C11)
P/N 50404 - White mesh weeel set (Jaguar XJR)
P/N 50397 - RD4428 front sponge tires (2 pcs)
P/N 50398 - RD4445 rear sponge tires (2 pcs).

oh yeah, and if you get the Tamiya AO (Aftermarket Service original items) clear Ferrari F40 replacement body, it comes with a clear Lexan NSX shape rear wing with the plastic body posts instead of the plastic wing like the kit has on the prepainted bodies. These are the bodies you see floating on E-bay and are usually only available form Japan / Asia sources.
