Rule has been (at least since I started back in 2003) one trip class and one secondary / Exhibition class at Nationals at most. Yes I also saw a person racing three classes within the last couple of years at Nats. No, they were not supposed to be allowed. Yes, it should be enforced.

My two cents on this is that glueing any apart of the tires should be unregulated. Without side glue the trucks are not drivable. Even Without top glue the trucks still traction roll just not as easily because after a few packs the sides crack and you get some of the undesired tire bending again... so now I have to glue every time I go to the track to have some consistency. My front tires now have about half the bottle of ca glue whereas if I glued the top first thread i probably wouldn’t even need to glue the sides. There has to be a better way and the only thing I can think of is to remove the restriction altogether, especially since traction is different at all tracks.

*mumbles something about traction being to high on black carpet, and that black carpet is bad for the sport..*

I still don't understand the rule.
It is said that tire gluing could get out of control?
Out of control gluing on the tread would make the tire unusable.

Tamiya Euro trucks should only be run on asphalt with no glue on the tires then...The crc carpet tracks won't change soon, and it is obvious that this class will not last long....

The Glue on the contact patch will damage the carpet. all that friction will burn it. also, people with lower glue skills have edges on the glue that cut. It is not a HUGe problem just trying to give the other side. Te Euri truck class is not going anywhere anytime soon so we better find a good solution.

Not likely, it's the largest class at TCS by far

I don't believe that the glue on the contact patch is hurting the carpet, we've been running it like that since day one and show no signs of wear from glue.

If that were the case, the track owners would likely outlaw the glue, no?

The wear holes come from the body posts diggin into the surface when they keep flippin over repeatedly.

We even run glue on the contact patch of the F1 front tires.

Nothing out of control (cuz that would render the tires useless anyway) but enough to take the snap grip roll out of it.

I dont think it is an issue either, just presenting the the possible issue as the spinning of the tire does make a bit of heat, but it takes so much action to do that. anyway, it is what it is and we roll.
