They have two available right now.

And, I've never, every been disappointed ordering from TQRC.

I do wish you could open product links in new pages from the site but it's a minor inconvenience.

Default 21.5FT ratio for Gt2

Wow. With a TA07, that means a 1.50 to 1.65 ratio between the pinion and the spur.

The TCS race at Windy City is this weekend. I hope that we'll see updates here.

Not 1 TCS race to date has been without the 21.5 motor available for purchase. Fred and reedy have done a great job of getting motors to the venues for the racers to have.
Any updates on the #297 Reedy 21.5FT motor availability at Windy City this weekend?

Agreed!

And hats off to Tamiya for the race, all the prizes, and support for this race. This was my first TCS race and it was a great experience.

Congrats to the winners and everyone else for a great event.

The racing was great. This was probably the best time I've had racing. I'll totally do it again next year. You should race TCS. And I mean everyone. :-)

What follows, is important, but not reasons ~not to race~. Or not to show up. You can read this as something to prepare for, if you're a TCS racer.

The TCS rules need some updating, the list of little things there, are long. For mini, there's a legal wheel and tire combination. But there's also other legal tires that aren't listed. That's... not kosher. Euro truck, needs a maximum weight, and minimum weight. Somehow people have trucks that are right down at the minimum.... and that shouldn't be possible. Running front wheels on the rear of euro trucks should be mentioned in the rules. The Euro truck body kit mentions removal of the motor cover... but that's a point of contention too. Given the instructions says one thing....... While we're on the euro truck slant, there's two shock mounting points, are we allowed to use both?

TCS's support of tracks, needs a little help too. I'm under the impression that the TCS legal 21.5 motor wasn't delivered to WCRC, when a fellow racer thought he smoked his... well that could have been the end of this weekend. Tamiya spares were... not common, and for most chassis, just plain not available. For a race that had euro truck on the list of classes, spares should have been in stock, and they were not. If I had broken a mini part, I'd have been out of competition.

In a dream world, someone could walk up to a TCS race, buy a legal car on Friday, and race Saturday, with a complete car that's competitive. Given the size of Tamiya, I'd hope that would be a portable reality. It would also look ~really good~ to have a wall full of tamiya products for the spectators who show up. It's not flashy, but ~all~ consumables should be available at a TCS race, that requires TCS parts. If I had blown up a Mini tire, there was nothing to replace it on the shelves. Springs? The Euro truck ONLY pinions? among others.

If nothing is changed for next year, I'll still be there. :-) The rules fixings needs paperwork, and little actual dollars. The material support side... probably needs a lot more discussion.
