Is the Tamiya TBLE-02S ESC legal for M class. I do not see it on the ROAR list, I have one that fits well. Seems odd a Tamiya ESC would not be approved? I also have a reedy 600z and Hobbywing Justock that are on list if need be. Was trying to stay all Tamiya.

Also what is everyone doing in meantime for practice races with the 21.5T out. Can I put in a sport tuned tamiya brushed for now and run?

Good idea, though won't help those of us who did not race in last years TCS.

if anything, opening it up to allow the hobbywing fixed timing 21.5 would be a good idea, wecrun both in are 21.5 tc class and racing is close.

i did hear there is a shipment that came in and is going out to some shops. Not sure which shops though.

Can Windy City adopt that change since no one can get that 21.5? WCRC know that motor is = Reedy FT 21.5 speed wise.............I want to race GT2 but it is impossible to get that motor seems like.

WCRC should have them in time for the race. There are shipments of the motor going out now, WCRC is slated for end of feb shipment.

hobbywing would be a good contingency option based on WCRC current 21.5 tc class using both motors, only difference is how to gear each motor.

But if we buy hobbywing 21.5T in the interim will it actually be legal at the sanctioned TCS race in March, hate to have to buy two. Also need confirmation Tamiya TBLE 02S ESC is legal for M class?

until otherwise stated the reedy motor will be the only motor allowed for the class. Chances are by the time of the WCRC race the motors will be available.

technically the tamiya speedo is not roar approved so it is not legal for any brushless motor class.

Since this is a Tamiya race I would think the Tamiya ESC would be allowed even if it's not on the ROAR list. It's no advantage for other ESC's. It will save people money. I have run into situations where things are approved by ROAR but left off the list.

I am going to run Novice so being brushed the Tamiya ESC will be allowed. Looking at motor (540 torque tuned) RPM's and novice being allowed to run high speed gear set it strikes me that you could actually have a faster top speed than a guy in GT Pro Spec running the Reedy 21.5T fixed timing motor. My driving fits Novice best so it won't matter, but I find it interesting nonetheless.
