What is the dimensions of the track ? Anyone know how old the carpet is and how worn ? After 5 years at TQ, the grey ozoite carpet was worn through in areas almost to the sub-floor. Thank you.

It’s in pretty good shape but at least 5 years or more. Grip is really good once the groove comes up which is pretty quick. I believe it’s around 90x50...I could be off but it’s right around that. The facility is massive...tons of pit space, tons of parts, bodies, tires etc on hand.

TCS Rules -

Is there any performance difference in the SPEC #1016 S-Grip pre-made tire versus the build your own sets for TCS? Other then the color of the rims?

The older S-grip premounts were a lot firmer rubber...but the newer premounts and the unbuilts are the same newer softer s -grips.

Which insert would be preferred for black carpet?

Personally we ran super hard front and hard rear...that’s M07 specific.

I’d imagine that setup would work fine with the 05 too. For 06s we just ran premount hard As up front with premount S grip rears.

Thanks for the info. When the gray ozite got really worn at TQ, it made the track a one groove wonder. Traction roll in the groove if not careful and push like a dump truck if you went off line. But nice thing about gray carpet is gluing front side walls is not 100% mandatory. Would make for a cool road trip and I am decent on carpet. Need to look at vacation time for end of year as our local nitro track (Steel City Speedway) has the 1:8 IFMAR worlds this year end of year also.
