Fires?
How close are the fires to Aliso Viejo? I saw a pic yesterday from what I think was Team Associated's parking lot that showed a good bit of smoke in the distance.

Sadly I won't be making it Nationals after all. Looks like it is going to be a great race as always! Hopefully the last one is the best one yet!

I've been using a 3 wire Mylaps transponder at the Aliso Viejo track for the past few months and it works fine.

They are not close. Probably 50 miles away

I forgot to mention that I live between the track and the fire and was at the track yesterday and there was no smoke locally

You can track the status of the fire - by Googling "Holy Fire". Evacuations are taking place in Lake Elsinore area which is not real close to Aliso Viejo. Again, about 40-50 miles away.

Quick question for 'Official Practice' on Thursday, 08/16/2018. I saw the controlled practice schedule does not start until 10am. Since the track is open from 8am, can we say that 8am-10am is open practice?
