Yes, Fred opened up tire and insert selection for spec novice this year to any Tamiya tire and wheel and any inserts of 24m and 26mm touring car variety.

With the 2018 schedule, i won't be able to make any of the TCS races this year. I have a few extra parts for sale if anyone is interested.

Tamiya TCS parts

As you revise the .pdf file it would be good to add this statement to the Mini tire rule. Some shops still have 1016s in stock from last year and could use the help selling them.

Also it would be good to clarify whether or not the Euro Truck class permits changing to another servo saver. The screw boss on the stock one requires trimming to work with many servos, so if folks are meant to do that modification instead, the .pdf file should say so.

Finally, there are several different "Sweep 32" premounts, so it would be good to call out which one is the spec tire at the NJ and NY races. (Since one track is carpet and one asphalt, there's a pretty good chance they are using different Sweep 32s.)

For any TCS racer interested, I have a slightly used 419X ChassisSet for sale. Parts are literally just a few months old. This is perfect for someone looking to have a spare backup for their 419X.. asking $80 for the lot hand delivered to the Tamiya Aliso track. Or you can pay for any extra shipping of your choice

Also included is the ‘inboard’ half of the ServoMount (Alum) which is not shown but is in same great condition as other blue bits above.

Hey Fred - did you get confirmation from the track for this date?

apparently their drifting crew is also hosting an event this date as well - and the place isn't big enough to run 2 events side-by-side

Either of the two Reedy 25.5 motors.

https://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/prod...asp?p_id=10506 The #252 was designated as the spec motor in 2016 and still legal for 2018.

https://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/prod...asp?p_id=11784 The newer #287 ROAR Spec 25.5 motor was added for 2018. These are the only two motors legal for 2018 TCS if F1.

See you end of the month in Fresno !

You probably want to consider the fact that the #252 motor has a 12.5 rotor and a short stack vs. the ROAR legal motor which will be a longer stack and the 12.3 rotor. Most likely, the 252 motor will be a little less picky on gear and will definitely have more punch. You can tell the torque difference, even a really good ROAR legal 25.5 has noticeably less pull.

Not too mention the Rotor cooking fiasco at the finals😮
That's definitely not keeping into the spirit of Tamiya.

I can't get my license application to go through on the TCS page on TamiyaUSA's page.

Good point. Maybe someday ROAR will wake up and update the 25.5 motor rule since they created it in it's current form to keep the Novak motor relevant. 25.5 motor rules should be inline with the 21.5, 17.5 and 13.5 motors. Just saying.......
