Just wanted to say a thanks to the crew from hosting their first TCS race at RC Car World in Willingboro, New Jersey and to the racers who came in from all over. Racers came from all over (CN, NY, NJ, PA, MD, VA) , with I think the furthest coming from Ohio!

It is a really nice facility with plenty of seating, a hobby shop literally packed to the top with RC goods, and a track featuring the new black carpet and an elevated driver's stand. Just remember to stand behind the red line! They also have a drift track and drift accessories in the shop.

Once again, thanks for a fun event.

A big thanks to Justin, Cody, Chris and all of the Hobby Town USA - Fresno crew for such a great job for their first TCS race. Like Max mentioned, 9 So Cal drivers made the drive North. The Hobby Town Fresno group has been down to the Aliso Viejo track races a number of times so it was nice to see the support for their first race. The shop was well stocked with Tamiya parts, the track is a permanent outdoor parking lot track that they have sealed, added berms and paint and track prep was spot on. Even our F1 cars were hooked up in 60F weather outdoors. Supporting tracks like this is how to help keep TCS alive. The shop put their hearts into this race and it showed. Looking forward to their 2018 race and hope to have an even larger So Cal contingent come up next year !

Agreed with Panda, Hobby Town USA, Fresno did a great job hosting the event and the track is great. The spray really helped out the traction and my F1 was even traction rolling for second qualifier and the main. Big thanks for Justin, Cody and Chris for running a smooth and enjoyable event. My girl friend also enjoyed her very first RC race this weekend racing spec novice. The Truck was the biggest class this weekend and certainly the most entertaining to watch. I really enjoy the event and hope it becomes a staple event in the region.

One advice is the track does not have that happy hour effect like Tamiya does where the traction is highest when sun starts to set just a bit. Once it cools down the traction take a dive and tire warmer is a must.

I haven't raced a TCS race in 4 years. Thank Tamiya for keeping it going. This is the second race I've attended at Hobbytown Fresno. Both times the track was prepped well. And the guys from Hobbytown ran a nice program. Thanks to all that put it together. My TA04 did pretty good against all the new cars. Looking forward to the Nationals

As one of the guys from Fresno and the track designer and maintenance man I am so glad you like the track it is fun and very racey. We are Hosting a CTS race in June and I hope some guys from So Cal and NorCal come out for that race. The CenCal Challenge at the end of October is going to have 150 cars it is close racing fun guy's to hang out with.
I do have one more thing the Semi's are big fun there were 4 or 5 of those trucks were really hooked up. A couple of more races on them and it will be a fun class. You can only drive the trucks so hard before they start to bounce like crazy.

Does anyone have experience with TT02 Type S in spec novice class? Does the suspension make a notable difference in that class with the vinyl tires? Thanks in advance.

You want to check and see if the TT02 S is legal for that class. It's not in the GT Pro Spec Class. You can go to the TT02 forum for opinions about handling, I think it would be more durable. The TT02 steering uprights are weak.

TT02S is legal in novice spec but you have to run 26mm wheels and tires. You can't run the 24mm included in the kit.

Sadly, the FF class has been eliminated for the 2017 season.
