Tamiya Championship Series

Thanks Orlando for the clarification!

The list of winners is long and illustrious
Thanks for keeping some stats EW.
And Thanks to everyone for getting this thread running bright
Nothing wrong with some noise, that's keeping it real

I have been compiling a history of TCS regional Races for the last few years. I have a top 30 list of race winners and podium placers from all the regional results posted over the last 20+ years of TCS.
With TCS race #211 completed, I have updated the results. Please see attached files.
BTW - I am missing details for the following races. If any one has the old RC Car Action or printed results for the following, I would appreciate it so I can update the records to get a more complete total.
42 Oct-97
47-64 April 98- Nov 99
66 (GT2) Nov-99
68 Feb 00 (canceled?)
76, 77 Nov 00 - Mar 01
From my results, Doc Mertz, Bruce Hickman and Steve Hickman have attended the most TCS races, over 50 each
Enjoy,
Erik

Any chance you ran under an alias? My data pulls the names TamiyaUSA prints so if your registration name is different or if Tamiya types the spelling wrong or as I have found, lists the wrong winners, some counts can be missed. I have a few racers with multiple names pulled and compiled (Ray K for example). I saw there are numerous "Vacek" that have raced in TCS - definitely a family affair

Thanks again for everyone's interest - as long as Tamiya continues to post results, I will keep a running total.

Are you just recording the main classes or all of them?
I know I have about seven medals from past years.

i think its safe to say there is a LOT missing, thats been recorded/reported on TAMIYA USA site in the results area..

Sorry to disappoint those who's results don't match their actual accomplishments.
The following races (>20 races) I have 0 results and per your 1st post, at least one of your races fell in this zone.

I count all classes TamiyaUSA posts result. However, the list totals/sorts based on wins, then podiums, then TQ and excludes national results (sort of their own entities). At the moment, there are nearly 40 drivers with at least 5 class wins spread over 211 races, so it is easy for 1 or 2 missing race results to affect actual sorted totals. The list is definitely more accurate for races that competed from 2002-present than those that have competed since 1994. From my understand, Bruce Hickman had +6 wins in the "missing results" era and I am sure there are others with similar outcomes.
If someone is able to collect and send the missing results (any or all are appreciated), I am happy to add them to my totals and update the findings. So far, no one has stepped forward with this information. That said, I know TCS results were printed in Tamiya ads shown in RC car Action magazines so if someone has an older collection of magazines and can scan the Tamiya ads, it would be useful (I purchased RC Car Action digital copies a few years ago and the ads were removed so that path is NG

I was lucky to find results for races prior to 2002, which is the date Tamiya started listing results on the TCS web page. A fellow racer somehow had this information and was able to share them with me 3-4 years back, but as I noted, there are holes in the results data.
FYI - I am glad all are having a good time debating the list and their places in TCS history. It is a nice change of pace to the general rule bashing that comes up at the start of each new season.

Probably best to ask Fred for the reason why.
