Get f@@k.
Keep on pissing on people I guess you can race your self.
who you getting pissed at? people who've been running this series for a LONG time and understand what its all about?

or Fred and Tamiya USA - who put on this event every year, and send out tons of giveaways for people?

i think you might want to re-evaluate your involvement in this kind of racing.. its not about the glory, but more about having a good time and racing some chassis that are consider 'funster' or 'uncompetitive' in other racing circuits

no, your attitude ain't going to hurt anyone who understands what this series is all about

...or just race the trip-winning classes if you are after 'prizes'...

there's something for everyone.

Honda1

It is a FREE entry race after all.

Did you know that the host track gets absolutely nothing from Tamiya to put these races on? Maybe they should whine about not getting a body or stickers for their store.

Even if it wasn't free. It is still a great way for me to spend time with my son.
You simply cannot beat this! Unless someone can figure out how I can beat my son!
Then it would be fabulous!

You guys keep saying its free to race? My fee was paying for a kit to race. How about this
Take all prize and awards away and let how many show up.
And yes I support the hobby shop that puts on the race and buy parts from him
Day of the race.
All classes should get treated equally what makes one class better than the other?

It is a FREE entry race. Try racing three classes at another race and you will need to fork out more money then just the kit you bought.

you can buy the kit and go play in the street... with your lack of timing loop, lack of an organized schedule, lack of t-shirts, lack of prizes for jumping the curb the highest, and lack of parts store on hand for curb-jumping aftermath.

or you can race at Tamiya TCS events for FREE

(sarcasm)

I originally planned on staying of out the discussion since many of you felt the same way I did...but..

Whoa!...the host track gets nothing? Wow...that makes me respect the track owners who host the event year after year even more.

As others have mentioned.... I paid nothing to:

- make use of the facility, bathrooms, etc
- charge my batteries, cell phone, and camera at their expense all weekend
- use their Internet connection
- etc etc....

Plus, I got a free T-shirt!

I'll admit, I was a little bummed with the motor rules, but the way I look at it, its not like Tamiya is trying to gouge us. Now, if the new rules stated we had to run only Tamiya ESCs, Tamiya brushless motors, and Tamiya LiFe batteries (for the domestic / regional races) then I could understand.

In any case, thanks to Harbor Hobbies for putting on a great event. I had a ton of fun racing my little plastic car, meeting new people, and getting to spend time with like-minded hobbyists.

Now that that is out of the way, I captured (almost) all the A-main action and uploaded them to Youtube. Enjoy.
