Look, I get it, you don't like the rule change, and I understand why. A single source spec motor is the best compromise that Tamiya has come up with. I'm not 100% happy with it either, but it's better than the other options.
Never said I didn't like it, it just wasn't what I was expecting to happen.
I'm frustrated that a motor was chosen that there is an obvious shortage of. That's my only complaint if it's even a complaint.

It is sad that the 25.5 reedy motor is in such short supply that the hobby shops can't even get them. The only place they are available is on eBay at an inflated cost.

I guess you could sell the car like I did and go to FWD and not worry about where you
Are going to locate a motor and spend 100.00. I say call or email Fred, the more people
That call to get the rules changed back to the way it was. At least for now you have 3
Motor choices in FWD.
I say change rule back to any roar legal motor silver can, sport tune or brushless.

Since there is talk about an RPM limit, the motor does not matter anymore!

Its a bummer that a very cool class will be killed off attendance wise due to lack of motor availability. How about some "common sense" to allow racers to RACE. Open it up to any 25.5 for the Harbor race. Most guys in the midwest run VTA and will have a Novak 25.5 on hand.

Just a something to think about......

That would make the most sense. Mini leave as is since that motor is available. But when a specific can't had at the track hosting the event or even online (tower, TQ, and Amain)in the states common sense would be to open the class up to at least a Novak 25.5 motor since that is the a motor many people already have and is a spec motor for a huge spec class already.

I am on board with the motor rule changes but I agree...with the extreme limited availability of the M3 25.5 I think Tamiya needs to make a call...at least for the next 2 races over the next 2 weeks.

Talk about RPM limits is for the TCS Finals only. Regional races are not required to do it. I may or may not experiment with it during the Aliso regional event to see what it will take to manage it for the Finals.

I got my spec motor just last night at TQ Racing. From looking at the box, I think I got the fast one with high RPMs! See you in the "A" Main
