To be honest... You are probably using the wrong kind of tape.

Should be fiber-reinforced tape, as wide as possible. That battery is not going to go anywhere. And make sure it's not "old" tape.

I've raced 12th scale long enough to know what tape to use, but what I have is on the old side, so I'll try new and see what happens.

First practice day of the 2016 TCS season and so far I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in the disparity between the "spec" Reedy M3 21.5. My buddies that we bought together...same time. Same setup/electronics etc...he's got more power everywhere. There's probably 3-4mph difference down the straight. Pretty sad after spending $90 on a "spec" motor.

At least you got them.
They are out of stock at TQRC, Tower, and the Reedy websites

So much for creating a more level playing field.

Hey everyone. Just want to remind you all that there will be a TCS Regional Race at RC Kinetics (http://www.rckinetics.com) On Sunday March 6th. There are a lot of racers from all over the east coast already signed up, and it promises to be a good event. The Hobby Shop on site is well stocked with Tamiya parts and more are expected this week. And to make a weekend of it, on Saturday the 5th, there will be a warm up race held in the evening. Become a member of the Facebook group page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/RCKinetics/) to keep with all the latest information. Thanks!

Hi Chris,

I have a spare Reedy M3 25.5 - NIB. $70 if you would like it - assuming no one picks it up in Omaha

Well it's a good thing I went to the Tamiya website before I responded, because I was gonna say it's 21.5 but it's actually different motors for different classes. Mini (the class I'm focusing on) and GT Pro Spec is the Reedy 21.5, but F1 is the Reedy 25.5 motor. I was going to run F1 but now I don't have a motor for that class. I can afford 2 new motors, but not 3.
