Have you considered adding a 2nd starting grid onto the straight that is double spaced for us mere mortals? Perhaps painted in TRF blue? I think saving the close packed white grid for Reedy invite would be great and then having a 2nd 'blue' grid for us regular folk will enhance racing in the mains (reduce the hairpin pile ups) and put more meaning into qualifying well. Hope that this is something you might consider for the 2016 race season.
Thanks Boss!
We've done single lane grid spacing a few years back. It actually worked well and it too made qualifying more important. Maybe we'll do that for NATS and the next Fred Tech Race.

Default TT02 Pro Spec MOTOR stuff

Just an FYI, note the motor wire orientation in the picture below. This is the spec motor you'll be working with at Nationals in the Pro Spec BMW class.

Under no circumstance can the wires be tampered with and/or removed and re-positioned. They are factory soldered and marked.

It will be a little annoying, but be prepared to have your cars wired up to accommodate this wiring position. There is the inherent rotating limitation as well.

I think that is a great idea for Nationals and hope you implement this year Fred. The current double grid is not so friendly if you qualified on the outside (even number) and the extra gap (the straight is plenty long enough) should (hopefully) allow cleaner starts through the sweeper and 180. The minimal gap and staggered line-up now is more inviting for people to make those "win it in the first turn" attempts bombing up the inside.
