This looks like a fun series. I may have to rum RM-01 next year if they have it. I've always liked the group C cars and no one else runs them. Seems like there is no electricity on Saturdays though?

What do people do for battery charging?

There is a 10,000 watt generator going.

Cool.

A few questions:

I'll start looking into a RM-01. Seems like the RM-01x is discontinued or not easily available. Are they?

What body/setup works best over there?

Is it already the official TCS season? (If so I'll probably get ready for next year assuming they run this class).

What else should one know?

TRF418 Suspension Ruling!
A lot of you have been asking if you may use TRF418 suspension on your existing TA, TB or TRF cars. The short answer is YES, but read below to see which specific platforms may use it.

The SIX parts in question are items:

54568 RC TRF418 C Parts Carbon Reinforced Fnt Uprights
54569 RC TRF418 D Parts Carbon Reinforced Sus Arms
54570 RC TRF418 E Parts Carbon Reinforced Rr Uprights
54571 4 Degree/For Reversible S Arms
54580 RC Carbon Rein Hub Carrier
54546 RC Carbon Rein Hub Carrier For Reversible Sus Arms (6Deg)

The items in question are all Hop-Up-Option parts. These items all came with the following description when they were first introduced into the market: “Compatible with 1/10 scale touring car models fitted with short reversible suspension arms.” That’s a pretty cut and dry statement. Tamiya America’s subsequent product pages went a step further by calling out specific chassis platforms that use “short reversible suspension.” Those platforms include: TA-05 Version 2, TB-03, TB-04, TA-06, FF-03 and TRF416/417.

If you have any of those chassis platforms you MAY use the TRF418 suspension. Also, I will take this a step further because I know people will ask. “Can I mix and match the reversible short suspension with 418 suspension?” The answer is yes! The reason is simple. Current set up sheets for cars that use 418 suspension call out “reversible” parts such as the “steering blocks” and “rear hub carriers” as an Option to use when setting up your car.

This matter is now closed.

FM
The TB EVO V and TA05 IFS-R are fitted with short reversible suspension arms. So according to the reasoning in this ruling it is OK to run the TRF418 suspension on these cars, as long as you run the TA05 IFS-R w/o the IFS (as you pointed out earlier, the IFS-R includes the parts for running stand-up shocks on the front end).

Will it be legal to run the new trf F1 front end on an F104 platform or is it restricted to the 101?

So, Yelotaro, when are you gonna post the video of your F1 Regionals win?
That was an awesome race you pulled off.
Would be a shame if you didn't show it off.
The overhead view was cool but just not as good as driver view.

I'm assuming you do have a video of it or maybe Afung got one too.
Glad it was you that put the Asians back on the top step.
