I competed in TCS Race #200 over the weekend at the HobbyTown HobbyPLEX in Omaha, NE.

Thanks Tamiya for supporting such a great event! It is so much fun, I'm already looking forward to next year.

I'm curious as to why Tamiya lists GT12 as an active non exhibition class yet doesn't give medals or kits/prizes for top 3 as the other active classes?

Max, you just let out the best kept secret. It isn't the fastest, but I like the consistency of that (unnamed) body. Now, shuuuuuushh

With just a week or two to go, when will registration open for races #201 and #202?

Hi,
This will be my first TCS and I have a couple questions to this rule:
3. Any Tamiya Hop-Up Option and spare part is allowed and legal as long as it is used in the way it was designed, and installed on the vehicle it was designed for.

Is it TCS legal when install all hop-up with I find on the Tamiya page for my car or only the once made for specifically for it?
I found that some of the TRF418 suspension parts call as compatible. Would it be legal to use these?
Can I use a alu servo mount from another Tamiya car, because I can't find one for my TA06 pro.
Lat but not least can some one provide me with a Setup sheet for the TA06 pro, because I like to know what will be allowed to change Setup wise.

Thank you for your help

This file is invaluable for two reasons...
1. It will help you track what you're doing to make your car faster and better overall.
2. It basically tells you what is allowed to be changed to meet TCS rules. If you see the set up sheet call a change out, then it's legal to do using Tamiya Option Parts of course.
Hey Fred, just to check my understanding: The setup sheet does not call out 54192 (the M05 aluminum steering rack) as an option, so we can't use that part on the M05v2, correct? It does not call out 54542 or 92238 (M05 rear suspension mounts with toe-in), so we can't use those parts on the M05v2, correct? There are more examples but these should illustrate the issue.

General rule #3 covers that:

"3. Any Tamiya Hop-Up Option and spare part is allowed and legal as long as it is used in the way it was designed, and installed on the vehicle it was designed for."

An M05 is an M05, right?

Here is a link to TA06 manuals and a setup sheet.
http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/tami...TamiyaTA06.htm

I ran my TA06 last weekend at the TCS race in Omaha.
I have TRF418 suspension arms on mine and it was not an issue.

I can't answer for Fred, but I'm sure that using Tamiya aluminum servo mounts shouldn't be a problem either. I think the ones from the RM01 would work fine.

Aha, your interpretation is that the setup sheet is used to highlight a subset of the changes allowed under rule 3, *not* to restrict the changes allowed. Fred, is that what you meant by saying "It basically tells you what is allowed to be changed to meet TCS rules"?

i knew that was coming..

almost every Tamiya option parts is labeled with what platform it supports/is designed for. we all know that M05 is M05 regardless of wether its vI or v11.. Its not an M03 which has an S-version with a couple bespoke parts.

and yes some M03 options are allowed on M05 altho not labeled (Front Universals and Aluminum front Dogbones.. look it up)

lets just all be gentlemen and participate in the fun of the event. Fred cannot possibly word every little idiosyncrasy of the rule. We have been doing this long enough to know the ins-n-outs and the intention of the series and its rule set. if you get called for it, just simply comply and carry-on.
