The Honda NSX 2007 and older have been discontinued for a while. Buying them from Hong Kong is not a viable option I want to endorse for any new or existing TCS racer. It's time we mix things up a bit and change the TCS landscape. If you own NSX older NSX bodies I suggest holding on to them. We may bring them back online in the future. For now it's OK to try something different.

The New NSX Concept GT body is coming shortly to a store near you.
By that thinking, then why is the M03 chassis not banned from mini ? It has been discontinued for awhile. Was planning to run GT1 and F1 this year and now I cannot use bodies I already own. Bummer for the the guys that just went to the Tamiya Worlds and bought some of the 2004/2005 NSX bodies at the race. Time to think of a plan B.

Yup. I've run the 458 w/ optional wing for the last two seasons in GT1 and it performs great. Downside: it's a super heavy body and the front bumper gap is massive.

actually at one time it was announced that it was going to be.. then that changed because some (a lot) of the mini peeps gave concern to the fact because that was their 'goto car of choice', spares they had on hand, square batteries, and it was actully 'superior' to that of the M05 v2,...

well, all held true except for the latter.

Default Plus one for kit wings

I completely agree. I would prefer to continue to use kit wings but I have experienced some kit wings being too flat. That would drive us away from those bodies. I did watch a race recently at tamiya where a guy with a garaiya plus the kit wing was keeping up with NSX bodies mounted with a high downforce wing. Go figure.

As for me, I have been testing a few tamiya bodies at the $40 per body price. When I am running and testing, I find that my money spent usually outlasts the novelty of the paint job and I am ready for something new. I stopped whining about the price and have started enjoying the process and hobby. Try to do the same.

Last thing, great job to Fred to keeping the hobby fresh. Lets start seeing new bodies run on the track.

Hello everyone,

At the end of the month Tamiya will be at the Nuremburg Toy Fair with a large booth.
In regards to TCS types of racing products we will be showing off Big Bore TRF shocks. Right now they come in our TB-04 Pro II kits and TRF419 kits. In early March you will be able to buy the shocks as complete sets for your touring car. For you M-chassis guys, there is a specific M-chassis big bore shock coming out as well.

The TA05 v2 setting sheet shows the option of running standup front shocks.

As far as I can tell, Tamiya never published a setup sheet for the TA05 IFS-R. The TA05 v2 is a fairly mild evolution from the TA05 IFS-R. Are standup front shocks allowed as an option on the TA05 IFS-R under TCS rules?

I'm pretty sure running a stand up shock on TA05 ifs-R turns it exactly into a TA05 R with the newer short reversible arm right? I think doing standup shock on those tub chassis are always allowed.
