Fred, thank you. And 'Happy New Year' to you as well.

I remember the days when you and David would travel to the local TCS qualifiers all over the US. Tee Shirts for every entrant. Door prizes for everyone. Free sanctioned racing. A series to qualify for the next level. A spectator kit to give away if you registered as a spectator. Opportunity to win and race in Japan.

Reality check, folks.

The coastal economies (sorry, but the economies that drive the nation) are still in recovery. If they will ever recover fully...

Very astute point, Fred.

The question begs, we sending our best guys? Or the guys with the advantage and 'cheese'...

Perhaps, unless RL slaps me over the head.
When you pick up Bruce, maybe I will stow-away on the Hickman Hauler...

No. Panda gave a thoughtful response, to which you didn't respond, so folks may have assumed you understood and agreed with him.

Reading between the lines and detecting sarcasm on an (semi-anonymous) internet forum is difficult. You may need to look into using the <sarcasm> </sarcasm> tags or a (j/k) to indicate that you are just kidding.

without them you may come off quite... disrespectful...

Torg:
it's just East Coast humor, if they do not insult you, they do not like you?
I have learned this living on both coasts now for awhile.
hope to see you out at the track at the end of the month for some Tamiya Practice?
We need to discuss the 2nd sector timing thing further for the track?

Looking at the rules for internal ratios list I do not see the ta05 ifsr listed just the regular one. So does that mean my car is not legal? My car has a different ratio than listed. It uses different pulleys than the standard 05

#ECH it is

I know how to do sector times and we could use the Chuck owned and Max operated decoder with Freds. But would need to buy another detection loop, I don't know how much that is. Probably go through PVC tubing above ground "somewhere".. At the moment I am working on radar support (again thanks to Chucks generosity). A 3rd sector would be another $2800 for the <cough>reasonably<cough>priced<cough> rc4 decoder box plus whatever the loop costs.

EDIT: $165 + tax + shipping for connection box, that must be some ultra premium certified coax(!!)

1st test at TQ
+ YouTube Video

The loop we use is a piece of 16 gauge wire, either buried with a small shovel. Saw cut into the asphalt, or just held down with duct tape. The loop is no big deal.

I'm sure any configuration of the TA05 is legal.. The IFS-R went to the 37/18 pulleys from the 36/16 of the OG.. and since then all the 05s have the new 37/18 (2.055) ratio.
