I was trying to articulate what I meant in QUOTE 'shoo goo/ca/shock cap' terms. Anyone who can help me with my grammar in this instance; please help, and thank you.

Last I counted, a car needs 4 (four) shock caps to go on top of 4 (four) shocks - [or dampers] --whatever...

Gotta follow the rules regardless of my grammar comprehension and presentation/execution/presentation

I mean, maybe I'm stupid. When I read the rules, you can't drill holes in $hit and stuff...
Delaminate in this context probably is the separation of the layers in fiberglass like materials.

You're right about the rules and can't disagree that a more careful reading of the rules on my part would have been in order. With that being said, I can count, add, multiply etc. Yes, each of my cars have 4 shocks and each shock has 1 shock cap with a #60 hole in it. What you did not take into consideration is that I have 4 cars, 5 extra sets of 4 shocks each with 1 shock cap. 7 of the 9 sets of shocks have that aforementioned #60 hole in the shock cap. Now my math says that I need 28 shock caps or if allowed use 2 cents of cyano to fill in the holes. You're a smart guy. You can do the math. Over a hundred bucks if you add in sales tax and shipping, right???????

Now, I was just trying to make my shocks compliant and correct an illegal situation as cheaply and as easily as possible. Now what about that is worthy of your taking a "cheap" shot just to make yourself feel superior????

Besides, this is all moot anyway. Tamiya has accepted that plugging the hole with cyano, etc would make my shocks legal.

Ok, I came off badly. I apologize.

Really, what I meant was 4 shock caps shouldn't be a big deal.

Where I race, (I'm sure where you guys race) someone probably has those in their pit bag that they would be willing to give to racer that needs them

The only bummer is that if you win the big one like you and my brother did you get to sit and watch while everybody else has one hell of a lot of fun!!
I have been to every TCS Final and it never get's dull!!
Maybe Fred will consider the Past Champs Race to be F1 in the future?

Good luck in the Land of the Rising Sun!

That would be fun.
I was warned that if I could win that I'd have to sit out F1 at the future Nats.

Didn't care just wanted to win it finally!
I can be bummed later, we'll see how it feels next year from the sidelines.

Cuda,
I've know you since 2009, @ the first big F-1 Race that Charles L. put together and if character, manners and sportsmanship (helping new comers like me with their cars set-up) had to do anything with getting P1 at TCS - you should have wan many years ago.

But you got it! Lots of us are happy for you. Now show that little secret movie that you have on your Cel phone (the one with your big car also in it) to the Japanese guys before getting into the driver stand, that should crack their concentration for for a while (Wow! the tricks one learns after a few years in RC )

Cheers,
Marcos

thanks Marcos!
I miss your smiling face around the track!
Hope you're having a great time racing toy cars.
Last time out for me wasn't just for bowling trophies so when they say that now I tell them "dont even go there"!

I think that would be a good idea, maybe alternate classes. There are enough F1 past champions to show up to the regionals and the Finals and this class requires a skill level that only experienced racers would compete in and have insite to help guide the other winners in the trip to Japan.
Why just allow GT-1, try F-1 next year for a couple of years and see how that goes, then switch back to GT-1 if for whatever reason it doesn't work out.
Just my 2$

silly question...

I know screws and turnbuckles can be from other manufacturers - but what about wheel hexes? I was hoping to avoid having to buy another set of Tamiya 6mm hexes

thanks!!

Alternating years between F1 & GT1 would be cool!

GT-3 question guys
Our main driver is stepping up to GT-3 this season, and Imlooking at the rules for GT-3
The tires say that The Tamiya 54256 is the tire of choice for Carpet tracks, but
is it mandatory that we run them? If its not, are there any other Tamiya tires we can run?
Fred, maybe you can clairify this for us, we're trying to get ready for the MRH race on November 9th

Wow, what a year. Retired at the end of April, been doing a bunch of bike riding (5K miles this year, easy) and headed over to France for a couple of weeks last month. Been hitting the 2014 east coast TCS events as well, but am wondering what the dealio is with the MRH event on November 9th.

Big question: will the M-03 be legal for this event?
Second, not-so-big question: Aside from the above, are there any major rule changes in Mini or GT2 we need to know about?

Since this event is only 33 days away, would be nice to know so as to be prepared.
Thanks!
