Just dropped by the Tamiya America track to check out the lay out for this weekend, looks to be fun, more challenging than the standard Saturday layout.

Great pre-TCS race practice session at Tamiya America track today. Many fast racers/numerous past champs. Competition should be great. Surprised at 40+ mini's - should be a great time tomorrow!

Can anyone shed some light on this rule about Tuning rotors?

35. Brushless motor rules: Tuning Rotors are legal. However, the tuning rotor must be one that is readily available by the manufacture that makes the legal motor you are using (no hybrids) and must not exceed 12.5mm in diameter. This is the same rule that ROAR uses for its 17.5 and 13.5 motor class rules. 13mm rotors are not legal for TCS nor are MOD rotors. Mod rotors or mod tuning rotors are not legal for TCS 13.5, 17.5 and 21.5 motor classes. In addition, you may not create a hybrid motor using one manufactures rotor or stack and another manufactures can etc. The motor you are using must be built per the specification that came out of the manufactures box.

First is any tuning rotor legal if it does not exceed 12.5mm in diameter or is there a ROAR list? What part of the rotor are they measuring? What are Mod rotors? "Readily available by the manufacture" does that mean it must be it shock or not discontinued? Is this rule mainly to keep rotors that are not mass produced (hybrids) out of TCS. If a rotor I am using is out of shock is it legal and considered not "Readily available by the manufacture"?

another fun event in the books. good to see some old timers retirn, some 'rookies' steeping their game up big time and some veterans choking.

need to thank Chuck Leslie, Danny Eggard, Rod C and Steve V for the assistance in the mini-class. all the tips and parts paid off

next stop... TQ carpet TCS Regional. This should be interesting.

All the results and images are posted: http://www.tamiyausa.com/tcs/race.php?tcs_race-id=154

Thanks to everyone for attending! This was one of the biggest regional races at the Tamiya America track in recent memory. There were a lot of new faces and I hope everyone had a good time.

Some videos from TCS #192

Sorry for the shaky ones, I was not watching through the viewfinder and if your race was missed, blame the terrible gopro3 battery life. buying some battery bacpac's for the next one.

Super special thanks to Kaji for filming these, he did "Reverse trip to Japan" (he's from Shizuoka) for his first race ever. Which unfortunately ended in a "poofed everything" before the 2nd qualifier...

Also, if anyone can figure out how to power a gopro through the 6V BEC that would be awesome.

Thanks Fred and the crew for another fun TCS race at Tamiya America. Was awesome to see the big turn out again under perfect weather. Can't wait for the Tamiya Regional At TQ carper track now in May.

A big thanks to Nemo for all his help this weekend.

Thanks Torg for the F1 A main video. That was a pleasure to watch.

Fred, for the record, I was running the Tamizhu 571/572 tires.
