Default Tamiya M06

I was reading through Tamiya's mini class rules and couldn't help to notice the M04 is not listed. Is this platform not TCS legal? It seems like it would be a better performer than the M05 and M06 with its mid motor design.

That is correct, M0-4 is no longer legal for TCS series races.

Has anyone ever explained why the 04 was banned? I know the extra tooth on the pinion adds a teensy bit more top end, but that's offset by slightly slower speed out of the corners. (...and also because the 04 is a pig to get right. Even if you do, it will still turn around and bite you once in a while, out of spite.)

Seriously? I thought the splitter and the diffuser (sp) look killer....

The car did have an advantage with carpet & high traction asphalt.

They do make a TT-01r if you can find it. I found one on eBay.

Anybody else notice this? I really like the Yamaha body but everybody running the F104GP seems to use other bodies.
The Tyrrell Yamaha body is a '90's era body style that goes with the wider 200mm F104 "W" (for wide) GP. If you change the front end to a regular 180mm F104 set-up, the car is now a newer 2000's spec chassis and would have to be raced at a TCS race with the newer body. Why ? Because all the the regular 180mm F104 kits (Version 1 and 2) all came with 2000 era spec bodies.

Thanks Mike.
That awesome battery pack let me make up some serious time in the main after a "slight" issue.

The v2 was just great all day.

Big thanks to John Brown and Horsham rc for making my 1st tcs one to remember.
Huge thanks to Tamiya USA for the awards.

Questions??

Snowy,

Is The Track only allowing specific tire additives like last year? If yes, what are they?
