It's in progress. There's a lot to cover and I want to do it right so it helps the 2014 winners. I also want the article to be thorough and complete. I have a lot of pictures, videos and set ups to go through.

It's something for me to finish over the holiday break

This was pulled straight from the TCS rules. The way I interpret it is this. If your body did not come with a wing, you do not have to add one. However, if your body did not come with a wing but has the pre-marked dimples for a wing, you can add one of the optional wings. Hope this helps.
What he said Your interpretation would be correct.

Yay! I'm glad to hear Kevin is recovering nicely =)

Been racing Mini's for twenty years now have to say that this could be the best year yet. The battery wars have been long gone with lipos & cheap ones that fit in the Mini's are 5 times more then a racer needs. The secret CIA special insert needed for a local track are gone too with the spec tire to choose from. This year with the 21.5 motors are amazing on carpet. The power & acceleration really make the Mini scream you need to use the throttle to hang on
My home track is the site of the first 2014 TCS & the driver stand is a hoot when running the Mini"s!
Thank you Fred & the Tamiya team for making great decisions in the Mini class
Merry Christmas

Under current rules only long WB bodies, 1 Med and 1 short to choose from. If the Audi was kept, there would be 2 short. I don't buy the look of the class argument. You basically have two different types of cars, boxy 90s sedans VS modern VW Golf/CR-Z bubble cars. The ABT Audi is a mix of the two.

BTW ABT Audi is 247mm.
If you're not buying the looks agreement lets throw out that every body on the list is available commercially for sale. You don't need the know somebody or have a guy who knows a guy who can get you a meeting a dark back alley with the local TCS pusher to get your TT fix.

I have an honest question. Does everyone realize the Audi ABT TT is a DTM race car, and as such was not a FF car? It was if I remember correctly (Redbullfix, Panda will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure) that the car was in fact a rear-drive car because DTM does not allow AWD. (BTW, I say this with an Audi ABT in my garage and would like to run it, but will happily not if it's not allowed.)
The FF class is supposed to be a class for realistic racing (which we could argue all day) with front drive cars: the Honda/Acura Integra, the CR-Z, the Peugeot, the Alfa Romeo 156, et. al. Now as for the Suzuki SX4, I need to do some research as to whether it raced in WRC in front-drive or AWD config. Frankly, if it wasn't an FF car, we ought to not race it either. The class is supposed to be for front-drive.
Meanwhile, I will continue to quietly lobby Fred to allow my F201 back into rubber-tire F1 class.

Does anyone know if they'll have tires available at the upcoming races?

The TCS race specifically?
