Second Try
Does anyone know if we have to re-register for the TCS Licenses that we filed
for in 2013 for that season or are they still going to be valid in 2014???

2014 Rules would be nice. 1st TCS race at MRH is Jan 9th and racers are getting antsies in their pantsies...

Especially for those looking to get into something new..

You're right Mike It would be nice to hear from someone about the rules
I saw on the TCS schedule that the first race at MRH was January 19th
not the 9th or did they change it?
I also noticed that MRH is also hosting a TCS event on November 9th, 2014???
Or did someone screw that up?
That would be really cool!

Bring up a past argument to the table, I do think tire is a greater problem than motor issue right now. I attended the 2013 regional at TA in gt3 and the tire availability, price, and degradation was a huge issue. I was only able to source 2 sets of B3 tires for practice, qualifying, and at the main, the tire was holding me down considerably. 45 bucks for a set of premounts that only lasted 15 minutes on track before degradation is not very attractive and I'm only running 21.5 motors. It might have to do with my setup, tire prep and driving that I'm going through tires so fast but the B3s remains the fastest degrading tires I've used. The thunder power motor and tekin rs esc I used for the race I got second handed from rctech and did not touch them at all for them to perform admirably. I think motor and esc is not a huge issue in gt3 at least. If the spec tires are cheaper and lasted longer, the turn up will greatly improve. Never mind the $150 esc everyone is complaining about. Tires alone cost that much for a single race if I wanted to be at my top form. Just my 2 cents. But regardless, I'll still attend this year's TCS and have a good time. Just please tell me where to get those B3s for cheap please

Default So tires are an issue?

People are buying two or three sets to race on??? Is there some reason one set won't last one event, maybe a fresh set for the mains?

perception, maybe?

I know the last TCS race I did (Jackson, nj 2011) I bought one set of the B3 tires and they lasted fine for the whole day - and I was running GT1. I had other issues with the car, but definitely nothing to do with the tires

looking at my tires, I still think they'd survive another day of racing

but that's just my experience - and certainly, there are other that don't have the same luck
