What is the new/old tire rule for GT3? Is it the same as GT1 and GT2, or are we on our own?

Fred - will Pirelli be handing out sets of the 2014 F1 compound for the F1 teams to test ?

That would only further complicate the equation!

Having the GT1 and GT2 tire set rule is a very great idea.
I hope the future years you can keep the same quantity, to keep costs down. for future nats.
Now what to do with my 4 sets of new B3-old premount tires. . .

Thanks. Seems to be counter to the whole "spec" in "spec tire" but that's the breaks I guess.

Fred probably is doing the handout tire only in GT-1 and GT-2 as those are trip classes. A big $$ prize is on the line. GT-3, like Spec novice and 1/12 GT are National classes only and no trip involved.

Hey guys,

The GT3 guys have been rightfully asking about the B3 as it concerns them. GT-3 racers may use any version of the B3 pre-mount tire. Unfortunately, I could not do the same thing for everyone. I had to do something for the two GT classes (GT1/2) that have a Japan trip at stake.

Here are some facts for the future. For the 2014 Season you will be able to use any version of the grey wheel spec tire for the "regional races". Come the Nationals in 2014, ALL classes, except for F1, 1/12GT and GT Spec, will have to buy "SPEC" tires at the event and we will limit the sets like we are this year. This will prevent future performance issues and it will keep National costs for you the racer down.

Thanks Fred for being budget minded.

Will there be a grey spec A tire available for carpet?
or
Will it be the same ruling as recent past years?
