Jackson is asphalt, so it'll be rubber tires for F1

You're gonna want the new F1 tires, the re-branded pit ones

Yup, those are the ones to use. 1031 fronts and 1032 rears.

They mount of the Tamiya foam tire wheels.
Black - http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ...w.asp?p_id=302
Chrome - http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=4391

BTW - they work great on carpet too. For the TCS race at TQ Raceway, they only ran an F1 rubber tire class. These are the tires I used to TQ and win the event. They are the same tire as the Pit Shimizu 0571 front and 0572 rear.

Default Legality of Mini stick packs

Dave

I would like to know if the only stick packs that will be legal for use at the TCS finals are those found on the ROAR approved list. The reasons I'm asking is that there are a limited amount of Lipo stick packs available in the market at this time. The most popular pack is the Peak 4200 Powermaster which is not on the ROAR approved list. I would think that since this pack is a sports pack Peak may not have submitted it to ROAR for approval.
Also do the Lipo stick pack(s) need to have a ROAR sticker on them? If so this may limit the number of choices.
Can you please let us know if this pack (Peak 4200 powemaster.) can be used or if only the stick packs on the ROAR list will be allowed. Thank you for your time.

David,

Can I run both gt2 and gt1 with 1 car? I'm thinking of running gt2 as my main class and running gt1 will be for extra track time. I will use a 17.5 motor in both classes.

Thanks
Owen

Not David, but I have asked the same question in the past. For regional events, you can run both GT1 and GT2. I did it with a GT2 car at one of our regionals earlier this year.

For the NA Finals, the only 2nd class allowed is 1/12.

The batteries don't need to have the ROAR sticker on them but they must be on the ROAR approved list.

Yes, you can use the same car for GT-1 and GT-2 as long as it's a tub chassis car (you can't run a carbon chassis car in GT-2). It's also fine to run a 17.5 in GT-1 as long as it conforms to the TCS regulations and is a TCS approved motor.

I should add that this is only for regional events. During the finals, drivers can only run one class with the exception of 1/12th GT which can be run as a second class.

Didn't see your post until I already replied but this is exactly correct.

David,

Any idea on the availability for lightweight bodies that work in the US (like the 2005 NSX), or should we start raiding all the Asian sellers?

Hi Guys,

Sorry to interrupt, but got a few items for sale that might be of interest to the TCS hopefuls this year:

Good luck to all that's making a run for the trip to Japan this year....maybe I'll give it another go some other time

Because the options for ROAR approved batteries that can fit the M-Chassis cars are becoming limited, you may use any Hard Case Sport Pack (round case) for the upcoming regionalís and Finals. It does not have to be ROAR approved but it must feature a hard case, 7.4 volts 2S-1P/2P specification. This is only for the round batteries such as the ones used in the M03 etc.. Square batteries that fit in the M06 and Touring cars must be ROAR approved.

I will amend the rules on our website to reflect this adjustment.
