TCS in Huntsville, Alabama this weekend at E Mergent RC

The track and the facility are ready for racing this weekend. We added an ADA-compliant handicap access ramp to the driver’s stand yesterday. For those coming to E Mergent RC for the first time, we have power and a restroom at the site. The hobby shop and the track are just steps from each other. What you will need to bring is tables, chairs, canopies, outlet strips and extension cords. There is plenty of parking so that is not an issue. I will take some pictures of the facility/track today and get those posted to the facebook site.

The Microtel Hotel is about 2 minutes away and so are several fast food restaurants. We also have a family restaurant next door so food will not be a problem. In addition, the hobby shop has an ample supply of soda, water, and snacks which are all very reasonably priced.

This is the schedule for the week:
Thursday/Friday: Open practice, track hours are 10:30am to 6:30pm.
Saturday: Open practice from 8am to 11am and then again from 4pm to 6pm.
Saturday: Club Race, registration will begin at 10am, racing starts at 11am
and conclude approximately 4pm.
Sunday: Racer check-in and final registration at 8am, concourse at 8:30am,
racing starts at approximately 9:00am.

We will run a pre-race and post-race tech tables with TCS rules in play.

As of last week we have 34 drivers with 10 of those drivers competing in two classes.
Entries TCS 183
GT1 2
GT2 4
GT3 5
Mini 21
F1 Rubber Tire 7

Spec 5
1/12 GT 0

Total 44

We have people from AL, GA, TN, MS, VA, OH, and WI. I am sure these numbers will increase by the time we get to Sunday.

FYI: we have the latest version of RC Scoring Pro.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone and hosting a great race this weekend. Please feel free to contact me at 256 651-0802 if you have any questions.

Mark,
We are going to hook up the timer this Saturday and see what's what. If the temps are close to last weekend it should be a good comparison. I'll keep you posted!

Hey Albert,
The latest version of the RC scoring Pro. actually it's the one Fred used for the Speedtech race. He borrowed it from us to try it out. Speaking of lap times is anybody going to post the results?

Wow, Tamiya track looks awesome! GCR7 this weekend! We'll get the results posted up when Fred returns from his trip. He left right after our race.

M-Chassis racers, we received the rounded Peak lipos back in stock. The Deans version is limited, but we have plenty of Tamiya plugged lipos.
