Tony,
I'm not sure which motor you have exactly but the two Trinity 17.5's that are approved for TCS are item# REV1052 Rev-Tec Roar Spec 17.5 and item# TEP1053 D3 Roar Spec.

For GT-3, you must use the Tamiya B3 24mm slick tire. Normally, it is in a Pre-mount control tire form but due to a current shortage, you can assemble your own. Item# for the B3 is 53705.

edit: I just noticed you're signed up for RC Madness. If they run on their indoor carpet track, you can use any Tamiya tire such as the type C or type A. However, they may have their new outdoor paved track ready by then in which you will need to use only the B3 Slick.

When are they premounts B3 and S grips going to be available? Just wondering if I should mount up my own sets or wait it out for the Huntsville TCS race in May.

I saw only one Mini class to sign up for and not sure of the rules.
Not gonna run silver can and was wondering how the 21.5 class is gonna get signed up.

That's terrible news! Say it ain't so.
If it is true, there's still time to get it fixed before Tamiya Aliso in a couple weeks.
What do you say Mr. Jun?
Mini Pro?

Wish I could have used em, was all geared up for some 21.5 Mini. Guess I missed the memo?

sorry Cuda. North America is waiting for brushless mini. I ran Mini @ TCS this past weekend. What a pain in the butt for the tech group and so much participant anxiety for having a fast enough silver can. jeeshz.

Still had a great time. Thanks Hobbytown USA, Fredrick.

I understand that there are racers that would prefer brushless but right now, however, the use of the 540J motor is still the least expensive and equal motor to use at the moment (especially at the Finals).

I'd be happy to make the Mini Pro class available as an exhibition class at the up coming regional event (April 7th). There won't be any medals or prizes and I would need at least 5 drivers. Entry will be on site on Sunday, just let me know in registration that morning and if we get at least 5 drivers, we'll run it.

That would be cool, however without knowing before race day if the class will run makes it a little sketchy to prepare I think.
Running it as 17.5 last year was a blast (a win is always a blast ) but 17.5 probably was a bit too much motor, except for the straight!
Maybe next Saturday at practice a few may commit to running.
Thanks for the opportunity Mr. J!

So who's down for Pro Mini?

No problem.

If we get enough drivers, we would run 21.5 motors: http://www.tamiyausa.com/tcs/tcs.php?article-id=566

Dave,

Is there a reason the speed passion 21.5 V2 ultra sportsman is not legal in the 21.5 classes?

Thanks

So only silver can motor that comes with the M-05 kit. Is the water breakin meathod a good one for that motor?

It's simply in effort to keep the list of approved motors simple and not too excessive, the most popular brands and the most popular models of those brands were picked while also considering how the motors compaired to the other brands chosen. The Speed Passion already has 2 choices in the 21.5 line that were popular.

Normally, I wouldn't make an adjustment unless I feel that I have to once the season has started but in the case of the Reedy motors, it was not a performance change between the old and the new and there would have been no Reedy motor option at all if the revised version was not allowed for TCS.
